Polyester fiber(PET)is the basic variety of chemical fiber,which has the characteristics of large quantity and wide application.Due to the regular arrangment of molecular chain and the lack of polar groups,polyester fiber needs to be dyed under high temperature and high pressure.The dyeing process requires excessive energy consumption and sewage discharge,which causes serious waste of resources and great impact on the ecological environment.Through polyester synthesis and chemical modification,such as easy cationic dyeable polyester(ECDP)fiber can be dyed under atmospheric pressure compared with conventional polyester fiber,and reduce sewage discharge,with green and low-carbon advantages.The purpose of this paper is to develop a high concentration easy cationic dyeable copolyester masterbatch for polyester fiber dyeing.Through the copolymerization method,the sulfonate group which can be ionically bonded with the dye molecule is introduced into the polyester molecule to prepare the masterbatch with high content.The copolyester slices were blended with PET and melt spin to get the modified fibers.And then the fibers were dyed.In this paper,through the method of copolymerization,after the esterification reaction,before the polycondensation reaction,adding third monomer 5-sodium sulfo bis(-hydroxyethyl)isophthalate(SIPE),forth monomer polyethylene glycol(PEG),realized the preparation of high content easy cationic dyeable polyester masterbatch with different contents of third monomers.The actual copolymerization of masterbatch was characterized and analyzed by 1H-NMR,FT-IR and other analysis methods.The monomer is successfully introduced into the molecular chain.The results show that the copolymerization become more difficult with the increase of SIPE content.The infrared spectra shows that the characteristic absorption peaks of SIPE monomers are 1043 cm-1,755 cm-1,and that of PEG are 2895 cm-1 and 628 cm-1,which prove that the third and forth monomers are successfully copolymerized into the molecular chain.High content easy cationic dyeable polyester masterbatch also show strong water absorption and moisture absorption properties.It is found that the amorphous region of polyester is still large after blending,Tg and other related data could not be detected.Due to the introduction of strongly polar sulfonic groups,the intermolecular force becomes stronger and ion aggregation occurs,which will affect the rheological properties of polyester.Although sulfonic acid groups destroy the regularity of molecular structure and affect the rheological properties of SIPE chain segment,with the increase of the addition content of masterbatch,polyether chain segment of the PEG also increase.The fluidity of melt increases with the addition of masterbatch.High content easy cationic dyeable copolyester masterbatch is introduced into polyester to produce fiber based on blending melt spinning method.The hydrophilicity of the prepared polyester fiber is studied.It is found that the introduction of masterbatch improve the hydrophilicity of the blend modified polyester fiber and the hydrophilicity increase with the increase of the sample with high additive amount.When the effective content is 4%,the elongation at break is 186.1% and the breaking strength is as low as 0.98 c N/dtex.The main properties of easy cationic dyeable polyester fiber are the dyeing properties under atmospheric pressure.The dyeing properties of easy cationic dyeable copolyester masterbatch blended with polyester are studied.The dyeing rate of fiber is also relatively high,up to 90%.The K/S value of the prepared masterbatch and polyester slice blend fiber increase with the increase of masterbatch dosage,and the blended fiber with 4 wt% SIPE segment content reach 29.3.It was tested for color fastness by washing and the color fastness is good as a whole.
