Research On The Influence Of Senior Executives’ Environmental Awareness On Corporate Environmental Performance

In recent years,with the aggravation of environmental pollution and the increase of resource waste,more and more modern enterprises have put green management on the agenda.In this context,enterprises should pay attention to construct environmental protection values,expand environmentally friendly practices and fulfill environmental responsibilities,so as to achieve the unity of economic performance and environmental performance.Therefore,for modern enterprises,it has become the focus of strategic managers to cultivate executives’ environmental awareness,implement forward-looking environmental strategies,build green dynamic capabilities and improve environmental performance.In order to effectively improve environmental performance,this study starts from the perspective of strategic management,takes the environmental awareness of executives as the point,tries to analyze the mechanism and introduces forward-looking environmental strategy and green dynamic capability.Specifically,firstly,this study systematically sorted out the literature and introduced the higher-order theory,resource-based view and dynamic capability theory.Secondly,this study analyzed the relationship between the four variables and proposed the hypothesis that executives’ environmental awareness has a positive impact on environmental performance.As well as it proposed a parallel mediation model.Thirdly,this paper deductive hypothesis,including selecting scales,selecting samples,distributing questionnaires and establishing regression equation.Meanwhile it applied SPSS23.0 and AMOS25.0 to test all hypothesis.Finally,this paper drew conclusions and put forward proposals for the environmental management,in order to provide ideas for the improvement of environmental performance and help them achieve sustainable development.Through theoretical analysis and empirical test,this paper draws the conclusions: firstly,the environmental awareness of executives has a positive impact on environmental performance,forward-looking environmental strategies and green dynamic capability.Secondly,through the effect comparison,it found that the mediating effect of green dynamic ability is stronger.In addition,due to the limitation of the research time,the research objects,industries,regions and the research methods,the research results may have a deviation.
