Barrier-free Medicine Packaging Design For The Visually Impaired

In our daily life,we often neglect a part of the people,that is the vision disabled.Due to their inner sensitivity and vulnerability,they seldom travel in real life.This group of people have some difficulties in living alone.So it’s conceivable that buying and using medicines alone will cause them more trouble.As medicine is a commodity closely related to our life and health,it’s a necessary product for our life.The general public is at risk of ingesting a medicine,and the visually impaired are even more at risk.Therefore,on the premise of ensuring the functionality of medicine packaging,it can help the visually impaired to better purchase and use medicines,which has become our concern and care of the society for them.In this context,this study intends to introduce the barrier-free theory and solve the problems caused by the purchase and consumption of the visually impaired through the combination of barrier-free design and medicine packaging design.The first part,the significance of barrier-free design theory on medicine packaging is expounded through the analysis of the research background and the research and design status at home and abroad,and the main research methods and technical routes adopted in this study are constructed.The second part introduces the basic principle of free-barrier packaging,analyzes the particularity of medicine packaging and the design trend of barrier-free packaging.The third part,analyzes the perception system of the visually impaired and finds out their difficulties and needs in purchasing and taking medicines.The fourth part,studies the design principles and strategies of barrier-free packaging design.In the fifth part,the design practice is carried out,the virtual brand is drawn up,and the barrier-free packaging and product peripheral design are completed for the visually impaired.The sixth part,explains the innovation and shortcomings of the research.This research can enrich the barrier-free theory,promote the application and development of barrier-free design theory,and lay a foundation for future research on barrier-free packaging of medicine.Through a series of research and design,it can effectively provide convenience for the life of the visually impaired.and make the first step for them to enter the social life with confidence.
