Claus furnace is the core equipment in Claus desulfurization process.It is very important to effectively utilize the volume of combustion furnace and improve the yield of sulfur in the combustion furnace.The mathematical models of the choke structure and different checker wall structure furnace were established,and the mixed combustion situation of the furnace was numerically simulated by Fluent.The flow-field is customized by using the checker wall furnace to increase the mixing degree and residence time of the material;On the basis of the traditional Claus process,the research of Claus furnace processing capacity optimization and feed composition optimization is carried out;The process of acid gas replenishment was put forward,and based on the process of acid gas replenishment,the optimization of zoning feed and the process of acid gas replenishment were studied.These are used to improve the utilization of space in the combustion furnace and the conversion of sulfur elements in the combustion furnace.The results show that:(1)The flowery wall structure significantly increases the mixing degree of gas in the furnace,greatly reduces the effective reaction distance and increases the residence time of gas in the furnace.For the checker wall structure with different diversion modes,the gas mixing effect in the Claus furnace with the extension of orifice plate is the best,and the effective reaction distance is shortened most obviously.Compared with the choke structure,the residence time is increased by 6.3 s,the effective reaction distance is shortened by 2.5 m,and the available space in the furnace is greatly increased.(2)Under the condition that the feed composition remains unchanged,the acid gas handling capacity is increased.According to GB14554-1993"Foul-odor Pollutant Discharge Standard",the minimum standard of hydrogen sulfide discharge is 0.0058 kg/s.It is found that when the acid gas treatment capacity is 36.68kg/s,the volume utilization rate of the furnace can be used to the greatest extent on the basis of meeting the emission standard,and the efficiency of the Claus process can be improved.(3)The ratio of air to acid gasθwas taken as the variable to optimize the feed composition of Claus combustion furnace to keep the acid gas intake constant.Whenθis approximately equal to 1.45,the cracking reaction of hydrogen sulfide and the reduction reaction of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide in the combustion furnace reach equilibrium,and the conversion rate of sulfur element in the furnace is the highest at this time.(4)Theβ(supplementary acid gas inlet feed/acid gas inlet feed)was defined as the optimal variable to study the acid gas replenishment process,and the optimal acid gas replenishment method was obtained whenβ=0.3.Compared with the choke structure,the mass fraction of the outlet SO2 decreased by 50%,the acid gas treatment capacity increased by 30%,and the yield of sulfur element at the outlet increased by 8.9%.In this paper,the flow-field in the furnace is customized and the process is optimized through the checker wall structure,which can improve the space utilization rate of the furnace and the yield of sulfur in the blast furnace.
