| With the increasingly significant effects of China’s opening-up policy and the in-depth development of economic globalization,China has got a large amount of foreign direct investment and has a vast market space, which has brought many benefits to my country’s economic construction. However,at the same time,China’s environmental situation is worrying, and all kinds of pollution are common.Especially in recent years, the haze pollution has seriously affected the daily life of our people, threatened the safety of people’s survival, hindered the healthy and sustainable development of the economy, and is contrary to the original intention and vision of the coordinated development of China’s economic environment.Based on this, this paper studies the haze pollution caused by FDI in China, aiming to provide reasonable and effective policy recommendations on the basis of the research. This thesis first describes the research background and significance of FDI and haze pollution, and summarizes and comments the current situation and progress of domestic and foreign research, combs the relevant theories about the relationship between FDI and environment at home and abroad, and expounds the impact mechanism of FDI on haze pollution. Then it analyzes the current situation of FDI in China, studies the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of haze pollution in China, and points out the relationship between them. Then,by calculating the global Moran index of 31 provinces(cities, autonomous regions)from 2001 to 2016,the study can judge the spatial agglomeration of FDI and PM2.5 on the whole, and confirm that FDI and PM2.5 have spatial autocorrelation on the whole. At the same time, this paper selects the data of FDI and PM2.5 in 2001,2008 and2016,analyzes the local spatial correlation by using local Moran scatter diagram and Lisa cluster diagram, and proves that there is still local spatial correlation between FDI and PM2.5 by comparison. Then Hausman test and LM test are carried out respectively, and the model selected in this paper is fixed effect spatial error model,This thesis makes model regression on the whole sample and regional heterogeneity, and studies the regression results of time fixed effect, the conclusion shows that both FDI and PM2.5 have spatial aggregation effect in China, and FDI is helpful to alleviate the haze pollution in China, the robustness test confirmed that the results were reliable, and further analyzed the transmission mechanism of the impact. Finally,Based on the results of empirical analysis of spatial econometrics, the following policy recommendations are put forward:(1)to establish a positive policy of attracting foreign investment and improve the quality of introducing foreign investment;(2)to promote urbanization with the concept of green development;(3)to reasonably guide foreign investment and optimize China’s industrial structure;(4)to improve the effectiveness of environmental regulation measures;(5)to promote regional collaborative governance and realize collaborative joint prevention and control Control. The possible innovations of this thesis are as follows: for the selection of haze pollution level in China, the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics are studied, the temporal sequence and dynamic changes are studied, the spatial distribution pattern and the spatial clustering effect is analyzed, and the difference in spatial horizontal distribution is studied. Moreover, the research on the impact of foreign direct investment on haze pollution has strong emphasis and practical significance, and the data processing method of PM2.5,the pollutant target of haze pollution,is also more cutting-edge.At the same time, there are also shortcomings in this paper.Due to the large number of prefecture level cities in China, the data scale of foreign direct investment and PM2.5 is too large. In addition, there is no formal PM2.5 data detection and statistics before 2012 in China, and the monitoring standards are not unified at the time of trial implementation.Limited by the large number of data and different statistical standards, this paper can only study the impact of FDI on haze pollution from the provincial level, and cannot start from the level of prefecture level cities. |
