| The continuous development of urbanization in China has driven the growth of China’s economy,however it’s additionally caused issues like pollution,haze climate and road congestion.The contradiction with the ecological environment and resource efficiency is becoming increasingly prominent.Therefore,speed and quality should be taken into account when promoting new urbanization.The construction of new urbanization can coordinate the contradiction between economy and ecology.Moreover,the present regional development strategy emphasizes taking urban agglomeration as the main part to promote economic development.Taking urban agglomeration as the research object,it is of great significance to analyze the impact of new urbanization on regional ecological efficiency.This article takes 27 cities in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta as research subject.Building a five-dimensional evaluation system of population,economy,space,ecology,and environment,and use the entropy method to measure the level of new urbanization.Constructing an input-output system and useing Super-SBM to measure the ecological efficiency.From time and space dimensions,Analyze the time trend and spatial differences of new urbanization and its subsystems and Ecological efficiency.Using the spatial econometric model to analyze the spatial effect of new urbanization.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall new urbanization level is between 0.15 and 0.4,the overall level shows an upward trend;The regional differences are large and have a divergent trend.In subsystems,environmental urbanization is promoted slowly,and regional differences are small,the remaining dimensions are similar to the overall level.The provincial differences were as follows: Shanghai >Jiangsu >Zhejiang >Anhui;The inter-city difference shows that the level of Shanghai,Hefei,Hangzhou,Nanjing,Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou is high,while Xuancheng,Anqing,Chizhou and Chuzhou are at a low level.(2)The overall ecological efficiency level is between 0.7 and 0.9,and it rises in the fluctuation with great regional differences,showing a pattern of high in the east and low in the west.However,the ecological efficiency tends to converge in the fluctuation.Ecological efficiency has a significant positive spatial autocorrelation over the years,and the HH-LL spatial agglomeration pattern is obvious.From the provincial perspective,the level is Shanghai >Zhejiang >Jiangsu > Anhui;In terms of inter-city differences,twelve cities,including Shanghai,Hefei and Hangzhou,remain in effective condition.And the remaining 15 municipalities are not available.Combined with the analysis of redundant variables,except for Hefei,Chuzhou and Huzhou,the input redundancy of Anhui Province is relatively high.In terms of indicators,the capital redundancy is the lowest,and the non-expected output redundancy is relatively high,among which sulfur dioxide and smoke dust emissions are more serious.(3)The direct impact of new-type urbanization on eco-efficiency is positive,the indirect effect and the total effect are U-shaped,and the turning point is 0.51 and 0.42,respectively.At present,Shanghai,Nanjing,Hangzhou,Hefei,Suzhou and Wuxi have exceeded the inflection point of total effect,these cities have positive ecological efficiency under the combined influence of local and neighboring areas.The direct and total effects of FDI are positive,while the spillover effects are negative.The direct and indirect effects of environmental regulation,science and technology level and government role are all positive.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,the countermeasures are proposed.We should improve factor utilization rate,City-specific policies to enhance ecological efficiency,build a coordinated pattern of promoting new urbanization,pay attention to the quality of attracting investment,coordinate prevention and control,incorporate the ecological environment into the assessment mechanism,and increase fiscal and scientific and technological spending.We will bring into play the positive spatial spillover effect of Shanghai,Hangzhou,Nanjing,Hefei,Suzhou and Wuxi,and drive the development of neighboring cities. |
