Research On The Application Of Coral Theme In Ceramic Decoration Under Naturalistic Design

In the process of the evolution of ceramic decoration,the decorative patterns of natural themes have never disappeared from people’s field of vision with the replacement of dynasties,but have always held a pivotal position.The rapid development of industry and the repetitive production of machinery have brought about the current situation of low design level.A group of designers put forward the concept of "returning to nature",trying to change society with design.The works under the naturalistic design not only have a strong decorative flavor,but also contain profound humanistic connotations.In the context of the rapid development of contemporary society,ecological and environmental problems are gradually magnified,all kinds of creatures are overwhelmed and lose their former luster,and corals are also greatly affected by the destruction of marine ecology.Studying the application of coral theme in ceramic decoration design,from the perspective of humanistic connotation,reproducing the beauty of coral with works implies the concept of caring for the environment and protecting the ecology.From the perspective of artistic expression,coral has rich morphological appearance and strong decorative meaning.From the perspective of historical origin,coral has been endowed with different emotions and various wishes since ancient times,and was used on ceramic utensils under the influence of Buddhist culture,which contains strong auspicious meanings.Based on the concept of naturalistic design,the thesis studies the application of natural themes in the field of contemporary ceramic decoration,Taking coral in nature as the research object,expanding the design content of natural themes,and finally exploring the application of coral forms in ceramic decoration design.And in practice,the coral form is applied in a combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional,and the expression theme of ceramic decorative art is broadened.
