Safety Risk Analysis Of Ride-hailing Passengers Based On Grounded Theory And Agent Modeling

Under the background of the ―Internet Plus‖ model,sharing economy,an emerging economic model,has risen rapidly.As a typical example of the sharing economy,the ride-hailing industry has achieved rapid development.Ride-hailing service is a business activity that hires qualified vehicles and drivers to offer non-crusing taxi booking service.Based on the Internet technology,this kind of business integrates supply and demand information,and builds a service platform.Ride-hailing offers passengers more convenient,quicker and better travel service,customers like it deeply.Besides,the ride-hailing industry provides a large number of jobs,and promotes the remission of urban traffic congestion and construction of resource saving type society.Therefore,it is supported by a large quantity of favorable policies and capital.However,ride-hailing safety incidents occurred frequently in recent years,which pushed the safety of ride-hailing service to the forefront of public opinion,and the ride-hailing industry got into the security dilemma.This paper based on grounded theory that is a normative qualitative research method,and take the online review as the initial data.The theoretical model of passengers’ perceived risk in ride-hailing is constructed.With the find of 3 core categories,15 main categories and 52 corresponding categories,the structural relationship is revealed in the form of a storyline and a graphical presentation..Secondly,based on the theoretical model,ABM method and computer software,a simulation model is built to simulate the process of car-hailing service.Factors,categories and the effectiveness of the theoretical model are tested.The results show that the existing security system of the ride-hailing is composed by the society,platforms and passengers.It protects passengers from the perspective of social macro-environment,industry concepts and personal safety awareness.Influencing factors,coping measures and risk content are three important variables of the theoretical model of ride-hailing passengers’ perceived risk.The mechanism of the overall model is ―produce—moderate—consequences‖,and the complex effect of doubt,trauma,frustration and insecurity creates the perceived risk of ride-hailing passengers.Both the passengers’ awareness of self-prevention and the vehicle review in advance,and the passengers’ emergency response and social emergency rescue when the incident occurs,play a positive role in strengthening the travel safety of ride-hailing passengers.Finally,according to the conclusion,targeted suggestions for safety of ride-hailing passengers and development of the industry are provided.This research also makes up for the deficiency of existing research in research content and method.
