With the continuous increase of Chinese vehicle population,highway mileage receives rapid improvement.Highway barrier machine is critical equipment in driveway toll system and its starting and stopping time as well as working performance is of direct relation to the passing situation of the toll station.If the barrier machine malfunctions,it may lead to comprehensive paralysis of the lane toll collection system.Therefore,the market is urgent demand for barrier machines which are provided with high-performance,longevity and high reliability.Based on a detailed analysis on the structure of Germany-imported Magnetic-Ⅱ/Ⅲ type highway barrier machine,this paper acquired the design parameters of its mechanical structure and built a theoretical mathematical model for its kernel actuator.With the help of mathematical calculating software Matlab,a kinematics and dynamic calculation was done to its four-bar mechanism.Through the comparison of calculating results,the effect of difference in mechanical structure of Magnetic-Ⅱ/Ⅲ type highway barrier machine on its performance has been analyzed.With the working principle of barrier machine remaining unchanged,by the use of multi-objective optimization method,the bar length of the four-bar mechanism has been optimized in design.The input torque of motor has been reduced,the stress state of each part has been improved.The actual motion law of existing barrier arm has been simulated by Ansys software to obtain the data of overall deformation of whole barrier with an alternating load,through the optimum structural design for barrier arm,using the fatigue life calculation method to estimate its useful life and an experimental practical comparison of the new barrier arm with the old one has been conducted to obtain a satisfying finding that the new arm is advantaged with light weight,long useful life and insusceptible to break.Through an improved design of the kernel actuator,barrier arm and other aspects of imported Magnetic-Ⅱ/Ⅲ type barrier machine,the motor power has been reduced,the mechanical state of each part has been improved,the useful life and reliability of whole machine have been improved,which will lay a good foundation for the design and application of localized new type barrier machine.
