| At present,the simulation study on the fault location of transmission line mainly lies in the principle of ranging measurement or its improvement,and for the whole traveling wave system,which lacks of a comprehensive and systematic research on the location process.This often makes the distance measurement result based on the principle of distance measurement have a large error with the fault location device in practical application.In order to solve this contradiction,this paper makes a further analysis and research of the distance measuring device on the basis of the existing distance measurement theory,and uses PSCAD-MATLAB joint simulation technology to build an application platform for simulating the whole ranging process.The platform concludes process of fault occurrence,data acquisition and fault calculation,which can accurately simulate the ranging process of the measurement device.The following are the main work and innovation in the design,development and application of the platform:(1)In this paper,the working principle of the data acquisition system and the algorithm of the extraction of the traveling wave signal are analyzed on the basis of the composition and principle of the existing traveling wave fault location device.The design and development of the device simulation platform has laid a good theoretical foundation.(2)According to the ranging requirements of the distance measuring device,the functional requirements and the overall framework of the simulation platform design are proposed.The influence of the secondary circuit part such as the transformer and the secondary cable on the fault traveling wave signal and the quantization of the line wave flux at different precision are considered creatively.(3)The simulation platform uses PSCAD-MATLAB co-simulation technology in the construction process.Through the interface between PSCAD and MATLAB,the simulation of traveling wave data in PSCAD is realized in MATLAB for further processing and operation,which solves the problem Simulation and data processing,the contradiction between the operation,to overcome the previous use of a single simulation software to bring the errors and shortcomings.(4)The PSCAD and MATLAB software are used to create and simulate the modules of the simulation platform(grid fault module,secondary circuit module,signal conditioning module,high-speed data acquisition module and fault signal processing module)and use the module packaging tool to complete the encapsulation of the created functional module.Finally,several major functional modules are connected in turn to form a complete and effective simulation application platform.(5)Taking 500 k V high voltage power grid as an example,the function modules of the platform are simulated and verified,and the errors and effects of each module on the ranging results are obtained: The secondary loop module composed of the current transformer and the secondary cable will increase the error of the ranging,and the signal conditioning module and the high-speed data acquisition module will make the error of the ranging smaller.The construction of the simulation platform makes the study of traveling wave become platformed.Based on PSCAD-MATLAB,the simulation application platform of traveling wave fault location device provides a simulation analysis tool for the technician and scholars to comprehensively study the entire traveling wave ranging process,which has certain theoretical and practical significance. |
