The connecting rod as the key part of the engine,its manufacturing quality directly affects the performance of the whole machine and the reliability of the engine.The latest technology in the production of engine connecting rod is the connecting rod fracture splitting technology.Connecting rod fracture splitting process can effectively improve the positioning accuracy of the connecting rod body and the connecting rod cap,and then greatly improve the assembly quality of the connecting rod.In the process of production and application of connecting rod splitting process,connecting rod still exists some problems of fracture splitting quality defects,which affect the quality of the connecting rod.In this paper,the actual quality defects of the enterprise production connecting rod are analyzed,the quality control of automobile engine connecting rod is studied by simulation and experiment.Specific researches are as follows:First of all,based on reading and studying a lot of literature,I analyze and research on domestic and abroad connecting rod production technology,study the problems of fracture splitting quality defects of the connecting rod in the actual production,design connecting rod fracture splitting quality control scheme.Secondly,according to the design of the connecting rod fracture splitting quality control scheme,I analyze the theory of fracture splitting process,and study the suitable materials for the connecting rod fracture splitting.I reasonably design the position of fracture splitting grooves,design and determine geometric configuration parameters of fracture splitting grooves,and select the appropriate fracture splitting processing method.Thirdly,according to determined materials and geometric configuration parameters of fracture splitting grooves,I build three-dimension models,simulate and optimize geometric configuration parameters of fracture splitting grooves,and verify them by physical experiments to research on the effect of separation force.At the same time,I analyze the significance of geometric configuration parameters of fracture splitting grooves by orthogonal method.On the basis of the relationship between geometric configuration parameters of fracture splitting grooves and separation force,I further study the influence of geometric shape factor on the separation force.Finally,I research on control of fracture splitting quality during the production of connecting rod with assembly equipment in order to reduce the scrap rate.The actual production verified that the quality control of this study is effective.The research results of this paper can not only be used to control the quality defects of the engine connecting rod,but also extend to the research on fracture splitting quality defects of other split parts like bearing bracket of engine crankcase.The research results have very good research value,at the same time the prospect is broad in the engineering application.
