Research On The Improvement Of Business Mode Of Johnson&Johnson Ethicon Suture Line

Johnson&Johnson(China)Medical Devices Co.,Ltd.is the first foreign medical device manufacturer to enter China.It was founded in Shanghai in 1994.As a wholly owned company of Johnson&Johnson in China.It is the first foreign company to pass the ISO9002 quality system and the YY/T0288 Medical Application Standards.The company mainly produces and sells advanced medical devices and health care products from Johnson Company.The Department of Ethicon is a division of the company,which is mainly responsible for the sale of surgical products.Suture is the basic product of the division.The product covers the main medical institutions at or above the second largest in the country.In 2017,sales amounted to 1.8 billion yuan.As a global leader in suture,Ethicon suture has a global market share of 75.The brand and quality of suture has been recognized by the industry.However,for many reasons,Ethicon suture often faces challenges and difficulties in China,such as difficult to achieve targets,lack of motivation,staff turnover,lack of competitive flexibility,medical insurance control fees and other challenges and difficulties.The purpose of this study is to make Ethicon suture more competitive and to create more value under the present internal and external environment.This paper first reviews and analyzes the business model,business ecosystem theory,management analysis tools and other related contents,then uses PEST analysis method to analyze the political,economic,social and technological external environment of Ethicon suture,and on this basis,Using Porter’s five-force model to analyze its industrial environment.Then we use SWOT analysis method to analyze its own strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and challenges,and according to its actual situation,it chooses the SO strategy as the future development direction.Finally,on the basis of defining the future development direction and the difficulties and challenges faced by Ethicon sutur,the commercial ecosystem theory is used to analyze the current situation.This paper studies the improvement of the chain based business model,and puts forward a new business model of Ethicon sutur line,as well as the objectives that need to be achieved and the measures to ensure the realization of these objectives.
