Chimneys in Large thermal power plants can be as high as 200~300m and are easily destroyed under earthquake and wind loads.The paper studies the wind-induced vibration and seismic response control technology of tall chimneys,and to provide support for the design and construction of chimneys.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)a new type of v-type friction damper is proposed.The parameters affecting the performance of the friction damper are studied by combining theory and numerical simulation,and the hysteresis performance of the friction damper is obtained.The hysteretic constitutive of friction damper is established by using Bloc-Wen model.(2)based on Euler-Bemoull beam theory,the natural vibration characteristics of reinforced concrete outer cylinder are deduced,and the correctness of the theoretical model is verified by finite element method.(3)the vibration absorption performance of the system of suspended steel inner tube chimney and friction damper under wind load is studied.Friction dampers are installed between the reinforced concrete outer tube and the suspended steel inner tube.SAP2000 software is used to establish the chimney solid model,and MTLAB is used to simulate the wind pressure time history curve to study the wind vibration response of the chimney outer tube,and the parameters of the suspended steel inner tube are optimized.The optimum number of the inner cylinders are determined.(4)the sesimic performance of the system of suspended steel inner tube chimney and friction damper is studied.The damping performance of friction dampers under the action of seismic waves of different site types is studied.The friction dampers have good damping performance in different field types.Moreover,the dampers under different field types have different damping effects,and it is concluded that the reason for this result is that the acceleration response spectrum curves of different seismic waves are different.Therefore,by setting reasonable parameters of inner tube and damper,the dynamic response of chimney under wind and earthquake can be significantly reduced.The friction dampers have good application prospect in engineering.
