Protection And Regeneration Of Modern Educational Buildings In Zhifu District,Yantai

As a very significant architectural type in Yantai modern architecture,Yantai modern educational architecture has witnessed the process of the integration of Chinese and Western architectural culture in the bright modern civilization history of Yantai.Meanwhile,as an important carrier of the renewal and transformation of educational concept,it has non renewable historical value and cultural significance.Therefore,this paper provides some reference for the research of Yantai modern education architecture through the development background,architectural characteristics and how to protect and reuse in the new situation.As an early port city,western colonists set up consulates here one after another.The modern educational architecture of Yantai was also developed under this background.At the same time,in the late Qing Dynasty,the concept of "abandoning private schools and revitalizing schools" prevailed.Yantai produced a large number of modern educational buildings with traditional Academy style,pure western style and Chinese Western style.At present,some of the buildings are well preserved,playing its educational significance,and some have been demolished and changed,destroying the original architectural appearance.Based on the formation and development of modern education architecture in Yantai,this paper studies and analyzes it systematically.First of all,the development of Yantai city and the formation environment of modern educational buildings in Yantai are studied.Secondly,the distribution characteristics,classification characteristics and architectural characteristics of the buildings are analyzed,and the characteristics of modern educational buildings in Yantai are summarized.On this premise,on the basis of a large number of textual research and analysis,and on the basis of field surveying and mapping,this paper discusses the colonial schools,local schools,architectural layout,building monomer and internal space,puts forward the factors affecting modern education buildings,and finally puts forward the problems existing in modern educationbuildings in Yantai.At the same time,it puts forward the principles and strategies for the protection and reuse of modern educational buildings,taking the Weiling girls’ school in Zhifu district as the design practice,and further demonstrates the strategies and methods for the reuse of modern educational buildings.At the same time,we should do more in-depth research on Yantai’s educational architecture,because its research is of great significance to the sustainable development of educational architecture in the 21 st century,and has positive significance to the in-depth study of Yantai’s modern educational history.
