heritage.A large number of successful cases have emerged.After entering the new century,especially after the publication of the Nizhny Tagil Charter in 2003 and the Wuxi Proposal in 2006,the protection and utilization of industrial architectural heritage has received more and more attention at home and abroad.Since the beginning of the new century,with the adjustment of the country's industrial structure and the continuous advancement of urbanization,the typical industrial plants in many cities in China are facing the problem of “shifting from laborintensive industry to service economy” land replacement,and the outstanding modern industrial architectural heritage left behind the corresponding protection and reuse issues.At the same time,the demand for material and cultural life is constantly improving,and the protection of urban context and memory is also paying more and more attention.This plays an active role in promoting the protection of industrial architectural times,and profoundly affected the urban construction style.Most of these buildings have been unable to adapt to the requirements of new industrial production,but they have a very rich historical and social emotional value.Therefore,the protection and utilization of these excellent modern industrial architectural heritages is of great significance for preserving urban cultural memories and creating urban features.Firstly,through analyzing the theory and practice of protection and utilization of industrial building heritage at home and abroad,the paper sorts out the historical evolution of Zhengzhou's modern industrial development and summarizes the types,characteristics and historical values of Zhengzhou's modern industrial architectural heritage;Secondly,combined with urban
