Design And Benefit Evaluation Of Drop And Pull Transport Scheme For Ro-Ro Ships In The Yangtze River

Drop and Pull Transport is a worldwide recognized advanced transport organization.It can reduce the waiting time for unloading after arrival of vehicles at destination,effectively improve the efficiency of transport handling operation,improve the utilization rate of vehicles,and reduce logistics costs.It is one of the important ways to realize logistics modernization.Since the Twelfth Five-Year Plan,the promotion and practical experience of road hung-off transport in China have provided valuable reference for the application of hung-off transport in the field of land-water intermodal transport.As an important feature of the Yangtze River Valley,the organization of hung-off transport for roll-on-roll transport in the Yangtze River can further develop the advantages of the "Golden Waterway of the Yangtze River".To promote the development of multimodal transport along the Yangtze River by combining highways,railways,waterways and other modes of transport,fully tap the advantages of multimodal transport,and further promote the development of Yangtze River shipping to modern logistics industry.This paper focuses on the organizational design and benefit evaluation of roll-on-roll transport in the Yangtze River.Based on the actual situation of the Yangtze River Basin,this study firstly analyzed the conditions for the roll-off transport of the Yangtze River,including the basis and development environment of the roll-off transport,and then analyzed the transport demand situation by OD method.Secondly,combined with the elements of the transport system organization design,it aimed at the main characteristics of the roll-off transport of the Yangtze River.Points,SWOT analysis is carried out on the roll-off transport of Yangtze River roll-off ships,and reasonable transport structure and positioning are formulated.The basic flow and key points of roll-off transport are defined,and the collection and distribution mode of roll-off transport of Yangtze River roll-off ships is defined.The "one line,three sections and four points" water-land intermodal transport scheme and "six points" of roll-off transport of Yangtze River roll-off ships are designed.Thirdly,in the Yangtze River Basin,we select typical routes and representative ship types to calculate the annual benefits of roll-on-roll hull single vessel,the freight rates of different modes of transport and transport time of typical routes,and analyze their social benefits,and evaluate their feasibility.In order to promote the better development of roll-on-roll transport in the Yangtze River,the paper draws up the promotion plan and implementation steps,and puts forward the promotion measures and policy suggestions according to the specific promotion plan.
