neglected.Facing the contradiction between the protection of historical heritage and urban development,and the transformation of the protection of famous cities from material appearance to cultural connotation.The concept of urban historical landscape provides a new way to solve this problem.The history of Tongcheng dates back to the Middle Stone Age.It is a typical representative city with a long history and rich culture in China.As a provincial historical and cultural city,Tongcheng contains historical information from ancient to present,which has certain research value and attracts With the attention of all parties,they conducted a multi-faceted study of Tongcheng.In the direction of historical city research,the concept of urban historical landscape provides new ideas in such research.This article mainly conducts literature research on the two key related concepts of urban historical landscape and historical cultural city,and conducts a theoretical review of historical cities from the perspective of urban historical landscape.Based on the theoretical explanation and in-depth interpretation of specific research objects,on this basis,Introduce a new perspective of the urban historical landscape in the protection strategy of Tongcheng historical and cultural city,and dig deep into its core connotation.On this basis,it summarizes the historical city protection cases from the perspective of urban historical landscape,clarifies its theoretical characteristics,derives the core theory of integrity,stratification,and liveness,and chooses Tongcheng as a research object After the research,the field survey and census were conducted to find out the practical difficulties and core protection issues in the current status of Tongcheng’s historical and cultural city with the basic data and data.And through the introduction of analytic hierarchy process to sort out the historical and cultural resources of Tongcheng famous city and analyze its constituent elements,apply the constituent elements in the protection of Tongcheng historic and cultural city,from the overall protection to adapt to the landscape pattern,to the multi-cultural stratification protection and To
