With the continuous increase of car ownership,the incidence of car forward collision accidents has also increased significantly,posing a great threat to people’s lives and property safety.The Forward Collision Warning(FCW)system is an advanced automotive active safety technology,which is different from passive safety technologies such as seat belts and airbags used for post-collision,it can warn of potential forward collision accidents to prevent accidents fundamentally.At present,sensor technology represented by millimeter wave radar and vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology represented by dedicated short range communication(DSRC)are widely used in forward collision warning system,but the use of millimeter wave radar or DSRC alone has certain defects.Therefore,this paper combines the millimeter wave radar with DSRC to carry out vehicle forward collision warning.This article first analyzes the development and research status of the forward collision warning system at home and abroad,and summarizes the status quo.Secondly,the overall plan of the forward collision warning system is designed.The system includes three parts: a millimeter wave radar unit,a DSRC communication unit,and a vehicle terminal(Telematics Box,T-Box).By analyzing the emergency braking process of the car,a collision warning model is established,and the parameters in the model are discussed and determined.Aiming at the problem of different adhesion coefficients in the collision warning model under different road states,a real-time recognition of the three common road states through machine vision is proposed,and a road state recognition model is established.Thirdly,the hardware platform of the system is designed and built.By analyzing the hardware requirements of the system,the hardware technical requirements are clarified,and the millimeter wave radar unit and DSRC communication unit are selected and the vehicle terminal is selected according to the requirements.And the circuit design and PCB design are also completed.From time to time,the software of the system is designed and implemented.By analyzing the software function requirements of the system,it is clear that the millimeter wave radar software,DSRC communication unit software and vehicle terminal software are developed in a modular manner.Finally,the collision warning model established by the system is verified by simulation and the whole system is tested in real-vehicle environment.The results of simulation verification and real-vehicle test show that the vehicle forward collision warning system based on millimeter wave radar and DSRC studied in this paper is feasible and reasonable.It can well realize vehicle forward collision warning and improve road traffic safety.It is of great significance to reduce the possibility of collision accidents. |
