On The Trend Of Rural Design In Modern China

Under the background of carrying out the strategy of rural revitalization,the practice of rural design is also emerging.At the same time,the main contradictions of the state and society have also changed.The original thinking logic of rural development is only to solve the basic needs of "food,clothing and warmth",but now it has gradually entered a new stage of improving quality.At present,most of the research aims at how to carry out rural design and explore its development strategy,while there are few papers that take rural design as a direct research object,and there is a lack of sorting out for many rural design thoughts.Through the collection of examples and documents,this paper reexamines the development of rural design thoughts in different periods and makes in-depth investigation,summarizes its characteristics and evolution trend,which is of great theoretical and practical significance for the development of rural design in the future.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part defines the related concepts of rural design thoughts and divides their development stages.First of all,based on the characteristics of rural itself,referring to the development research of urban design theory,this paper attempts to define rural design as follows: Rural design is a kind of practice to improve rural construction and development,emphasizing the involvement of design thinking,so as to solve the environmental,social,economic and other problems encountered in rural development and improve the quality of rural life.Rural design contains two levels of connotation,namely material design and social design.Then we divide the development of rural design thoughts into three stages: the period of the Republic of China(1920-1949),the period after the founding of the People’s Republic of China to the period before the reform and opening up(1949-1978),and the period since the reform and opening up(1978-now),based on the major events in the field of rural development and the national macro social development background.The second part: observe and explore the trend of thought of rural design in stages,and analyze the evolution and characteristics of the trend of thought of rural design vertically according to the time line.First of all,we sort out and analyze its historical background,tracing back to the source,so that we can better understand the causes,characteristics and trends of its ideological trend.Combing the typical trend of thought of rural design in each period,summarizing its characteristics and development,and finally judging the stage characteristics of the trend of thought of rural design in each period.During the period of the Republic of China,the rural design was in the initial stage of rise,and it was in the active exploration stage from the foundation of the People’s Republic of China to the reform and opening up,and it was in the flourishing stage since the reform and opening up.The third part: observe the evolution characteristics of the trend of thought of rural design,and find that the rural design is closely related to the national strategy,the development is nonlinear,increasingly diversified,refined,specialized and other characteristics.At the same time,the materiality and sociality of rural design is also one of its important performances.By combing and investigating the background of Chinese rural design thoughts in modern times,examining the main contents of rural design thoughts in different stages,observing their evolution characteristics,and summarizing and reflecting,we can see that the contemporary Chinese rural design thoughts have the trend of gradual integration of urban-rural relations,all-round Rural Revitalization and digital intelligent development.In this paper,the correlation analysis and the construction of the correlation map between different stages of the rural design thought are not deep enough,hoping to deepen and improve gradually in the future work.
