The rapid development of modern museums shows their educational advantage.The educational content of the museum is rich and varied,which brings the audience a sense of personal participation by taking concrete things as the media,and many social members are influenced by the cultural atmosphere.As the knowledge palace of children’s extracurricular learning,it is particularly important for museums to carry out targeted educational activities to expand children’s learning approaches and ways.The museums take "education" as their main purpose,and pedagogy is the scienc e that guides how to educate correctly,that is,to discover the laws of education by studying educational phenomena.Based on the guidance of pedagogical theories,this paper emphasizes the importance of space environment for children’s education,creates exhibition space which is suitable for children’s cognitive development level,constructs venue situation model in line with children’s cognitive laws,realizes the integration of exhibition and teaching,and maximize the educational function of the museum.The main body of this paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which expounds the background,research scope and domestic and foreign research situation of the subject,clarifies the research purpose and significance.Summarize the project assignment and the main process of project design,and formulates the framework system of the paper.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of children’s education in museums and integrates the main ways of education practice in museums.This chapter discusses the significance of museum exhibition space in the process of education implementation through the interpretation of the theories related to children’s education.The third chapter is the part of questionnaire survey and case studies.Based on the questionnaire survey and field research,the author get the public’s feedback on the museum,investigate and analyze the reality of various types of museums respectively from the aspects of spatial characteristics,visual design and educational activities,and summarize the current lack of museum exhibition space design in children’s education.The fourth chapter,which is based on the educational purpose of children in the museum,analyzes the spatial elements,display elements and detail elements of the exhibition space,centering on children’s psychological and behavioral needs,and provides design guidance of establishing appropriate space for promoting effective learning behavior.The fifth chapter corresponds to the needs of the audience of children in the fourth chapter,summarizes the promotion strategies of Museum exhibition space design.Design and practice in the project of Changsha Calligraphy museum of the Four Great Classical Novels,this chapter embodies the concern for children’s education in the space design expression,and realizes the theoretical confirmation.
