By reviewing the evolution of the development of the automobile industry,most traditional automobile manufacturing companies will experience the extension and transformation from single vehicle production and sales to including auto parts,aftermarkets,and mobility service provision.Among them,the provision of financial services is an important segment and component,the provision of automobile insurance and related insurance products and services is an important component of the financial services provided by traditional automobile manufacturers to the public.However,in China’s insurance market,the auto insurance market is characterized by single products,fierce competition,oligopoly and highly strict supervision.As an insurance intermediary platform established by traditional automobile manufacturer,how to provide insurance intermediary services and build an insurance management platform for the parent company which is a subject that requires in-depth analysis and research to serve the upstream and downstream industry chain and create its own value accordingly.The A insurance intermediary platform was established by A Traditional Automobile Group in 2015.The main purpose is to realize the platform operation of insurance business,provide value-added services for A Automobile Group and its subsidiaries,improve the automotive industry chain,and provide one-stop services for consumers.Enhance customer satisfaction at all levels of market segments,and promote the improvement and development of the financial business department of A Automobile Group.In the early stage of the development of the A insurance intermediary platform,the business grew rapidly,but problems such as a decline in growth rate,weak business innovation,and the loss of outstanding talents were gradually unexpected.The management unexpectedly encountered these problems.They urgently needed to be able to The external environment is analyzed,and then suggestions for improvement and solutions are put forward to restore and improve the rapid growth of the A insurance intermediary platform.In terms of research methods,this article first adopts the literature research method,that is,by collating the existing research results of Chinese and foreign scholars in the automotive industry,insurance industry development history and development trends,corporate strategy,platform strategy,insurance market theory and other fields,and induction to obtain comprehensive materials and information,and to conduct in-depth analysis of case problems.Secondly,using the interview method,due to work reasons,the author can participate in the management decision-making of the A insurance intermediary platform,and communicate in depth with middle and senior management personnel on relevant issues,understand their specific views and suggestions.Third,by using a comparative analysis method,by analyzing and researching the development of the Chinese and foreign auto and insurance industries,and major domestic or similar insurance institutions with similar industry backgrounds,combining the current status of the A insurance intermediary platform,analyzing the problems in the development strategy,and put forward improvement suggestions and strategic adjustment programs.This article consists of six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research ideas and methods,and the literature review.The second chapter is the related theory and basic situation of insurance intermediary.It introduces the research results of insurance intermediary by experts and scholars and the basic situation of the development of insurance intermediary in China.The third chapter is the case background analysis,which introduces the basic development background,current status and existing problems of A Automobile Group and A insurance intermediary platform,so that readers can understand the case situation.Chapters 4 and 5 are the core part of this article.First,the internal and external strategic environment of the A insurance intermediary platform is analyzed and researched.Based on this,the direction and implementation plan of the strategy formulation and the guarantee measures for implementing the implementation plan are proposed..Chapter VI makes conclusions and prospects for the content of this article.The integration of industry and finance has been a focus of attention in politics,business and academia in recent years,but in the research process of this article,it is found that although auto companies realize the importance of insurance business to improve the industrial chain and realize the strategic transformation of the traditional auto industry,how can they play a good role of insurance intermediaries often lacks attention.The company’s countermeasures are constrained by factors such as time,experience,and resources.Due to the inherent thinking mode and value orientation,it often lacks a holistic and systematic view.This is also an important reason that insurance business cannot be well developed in traditional automobile companies.This article believes that,as a combination of the automobile industry and the insurance industry,the insurance intermediary platform established by traditional automobile companies should integrate the knowledge,resources and experience of related industries and enterprises to form their core capabilities.,Artificial intelligence,big data and other emerging technologies to build a win-win business platform and data platform to create value for all parties involved.This article studies the development strategy of an insurance intermediary platform established by a representative automobile group,analyzes its internal and external strategic environment by using strategy-related theories,and proposes improved solutions based on the importance of these factors.The research results can be used for the development of automobile companies.Insurance business,to achieve further integration of industry and finance,to promote the development of the real economy through financial and insurance means,to provide reference for other counterparties.
