| The "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" initiative has attracted the attention of the international community. This initiative not only enhances China’s economic strength, but also serves as a new platform for promoting global economic development and achieving win-win cooperation. In the context of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" initiative,in order to explore the spatial distribution pattern and the status quo of its regional links,This paper discusses and analyzes the container, tanker and bulk carrier shipping networks from the port, country and regional levels. The details are as follows:(1)This paper firstly constructs the topological structure of container, tanker and bulk carrier shipping network based on the complex network theory.Analysis of spatial characteristics of shipping network through complex network statistical indicators. The results show that the shipping network of container, tanker and bulk carrier is unevenly distributed, and there are regional agglomeration phenomena, all of which have scale-free and small-world characteristics. The maritime network has obvious hierarchy.According to the central indicators of the port,Singapore’s Jurong Island Port,Keppel Harbor,Plaubem Port,Shilonggang Port and China’s Shanghai Port and Zhoushan Port are the highest level in the maritime network.(2)Using to cargo flow outward degree and Herfindahl-Hirschman index further analyze the mode of spatial arrangement and concentration levels of regional cargo flow in the container, tanker and bulk carrier shipping network. The results show that the inward-oriented ports account for a large number of ports, and only a few outward-oriented ports bear the important task of external relations. The correlation between the internal and adjacent areas is strong, and the correlation between the regions is weak. From the concentration of regional export and import cargo flow,it can be seen that the concentration of external cargo flow distribution in most shipping areas is higher than that of total cargo flow and internal cargo flow.A few transit hub ports have obvious competitive advantages,of which container transportation network is the most competitive within the region, and the tanker transportation network has the least competitiveness.(3)In the maritime communication between China and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road",Shanghai Port is the leader of the Chinese port, and the most connections with the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" port.According to the primary flow, significant flow and connection degree,China Port is mainly connected with Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia;According to the comprehensive trade share index and the trade intensity index,China is highly dependent on Japan,South Korea and Singapore, and exceeds the dependence on the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" countries as a whole. The combination of research results and the Maritime Silk Road policy provides a scientific basis for port construction, route selection, and coordinated regional trade development. |
