With the development of economy and society and the improvement of people’s living standard, more and more people choose cars as means of transportation.Aiming at the safe driving of vehicles, this paper uses millimeter wave radar as the sensor of vehicle detection, including the measurement of distance, speed, angle and the research of wave suppression algorithm, and uses MATLAB for simulation:(1)Through the understanding of the relevant information of obstacle detection, this paper analyzes the method of obstacle detection and vehicle control algorithm, analyzes the use of millimeter wave radar to detect obstacles, and puts forward the implementation process and the research content of this paper on how to use millimeter wave radar to detect obstacles and vehicle control.(2)Aiming at the algorithm realization of obstacle detection and vehicle control, the simulation is carried out on MATLAB platform. For distance measurement,CFAR is used to adjust the threshold,Hanning window function is used to prevent the leakage of spectrum to improve the detection accuracy, and the distance between target and radar is calculated by algorithm;for speed measurement,if signal processed by fast Fourier transform(FFT)is used to calculate the speed according to the relationship between the parameter and speed of intermediate frequency signal; For the measurement of angle, the phase method is used to measure. For vehicle control, the fuzzy control algorithm is used to control the vehicle.(3)The algorithm of obstacle detection and vehicle control is simulated on the MATLAB platform, including the simulation chart of millimeter wave radar echo and waveform information after wave suppression processing,as well as the simulation of vehicle related control. The related algorithm is analyzed, and the related suggestions for future improvement are provided.
