With the continuous advancement of the construction of New Engineering in China,the emergence of new disciplines,the transformation and upgrading of traditional engineering,the continuous development of talent training mode,teaching mode and curriculum system in colleges and universities,these put forward more,newer and higher requirements for teachers.college teachers must develop the corresponding teaching ability to better meet the challenges in the process of New Engineering talent training challenges.In view of the fact that the research on teachers’ teaching development under the background of New Engineering in China is still in its infancy,it is of constructive significance for university teachers to innovate teaching contents,optimize teaching methods,and deepen teaching practice,so as to provide an important guarantee for university discipline development and training New Engineering talents.Based on this,the study uses the method of logical speculation and empirical research,according to the theory of teachers’ professional development,the theory of ability hierarchy,competency theory and other theories,through the comparison of traditional teaching ability,analyzes the connotation,characteristics and structure of college teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering.Based on the current situation of the development of New Engineering and the teaching ability of our country,we should carry out empirical research to promote the localization of the theory of teaching ability development of university teachers under the background of New Engineering,and improve the poor applicability of the theory of teaching ability development of university teachers to the development of New Engineering.This paper studies and develops the questionnaire of college teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering.Through factor analysis,reliability and validity test,the scale has a certain applicability;analyzes the elements and structure of college teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering,puts forward three ability fields and 10 ability units of college teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering,and constructs a new teaching ability model according to the relationship between abilities In this paper,the structure model of university teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering is established and preliminarily verified;the current situation of university teachers’ teaching ability under the background of New Engineering is investigated and analyzed,and the differences in different dimensions are analyzed.Finally,from the national level,university level and teacher level,this paper puts forward the development strategy of university teachers’ teaching ability under the background of new engineering.
