With the acceleration of my country’s industrialization process and the increasing improvement of the transportation network system,the logistics and transportation industry has gained unprecedented broad prospects.Following this,many independent truck brands have emerged in China,and the number of trucks has also increased significantly.Based on the background that it is difficult for trucks to make major breakthroughs in a short period of time on the technical level,in order to cope with the fierce market competition,various truck brands are seeking innovations in styling design.At the same time,due to the late start of my country’s truck industry and the impact of internationalization,my country’s national independent truck brands still face many challenges if they want to go international.To build a national truck brand in the international truck industry,we must not only pursue excellence in truck technology and quality,but also pay enough attention to the design concept of truck styling and the cultural connotation of the brand.The manufacturing capacity of trucks and brand awareness can measure the level of industrial development of a country.Many countries are now committed to building their own national truck brands.The styling characteristics of these trucks not only provide recognition for themselves,but also The image endorsement of the nation.Although our country has become a major industrial country,there is still a big gap with Western developed countries.From this perspective,Chinese truck designers must first deeply learn their own national culture,understand the essence of Chinese culture,and combine modern technology with aesthetics.The concept is combined with the traditional culture,and should not be applied mechanically.The natural expression of the combination of products and culture should be achieved,and we will strive to contribute to the development of truck design in our country.This article first analyzes the status quo of truck styling design at home and abroad,points out some shortcomings in domestic truck brands,and concludes that with the improvement of people’s living standards,truck users pay more attention to the emotional needs of products.Next,the related content of emotional demand is introduced,and the emotional elements in truck modeling design are analyzed.On the other hand,this article takes the shape design of the "Jiefang" truck as the research object,and uses traditional Chinese elements as the starting point.As the "eldest son of the Republic",Chinese traditional culture seems to provide unique advantages for the creation of the national truck brand "Jiefang".condition.Furthermore,this article analyzes the traditional Chinese elements and their application in the design of Jiefang Trucks.Based on the characteristics of the trucks,they are divided into three categories: Chinese traditional thought elements,Chinese traditional pattern elements,and Chinese traditional color elements.At the same time,it analyzes and thinks about the styling characteristics of Jiefang Truck,and summarizes the aesthetics and shortcomings contained in it.In the end,the thesis puts forward the innovative thinking of traditional Chinese elements in the design of Jiefang trucks,and expands some design methods,hoping to make a modest effort to build a national truck brand with oriental charm.
