Research On Square Design From The Perspective Of Regional National Culture

With the rapid development of urban globalization,urban construction has brought a crisis to regional and national culture that cannot be underestimated.It not only enriches the indigenous landform characteristics,but also inherits the local culture.Waterfront space has gradually become an important part of urban modernization along with its development.Both city dwellers and visitors will play in the urban waterfront space.Under the concept of regional ethnic culture,combined with the development of nowadays construction,this paper takes Yanji waterfront square as an example to discuss the design concept and planning of waterfront square under regional ethnic culture,thus providing new ideas for future urban construction.From the research background,regional ethnic culture along with research purpose and significance of waterfront urban space,a series of argumentation and explanation are carried out on the contents and methods in the study.The research shows that China has a vast territory and rich resources,while each region has different historical and local cultural characteristics.Regional ethnic characteristics are a crucial factor affecting the urban waterfront space.However,how to integrate them into the waterfront space is also an issue that we need to discuss now.According to a detailed analysis on the concept,composition and development trend of regional culture along with national culture and waterfront open space,the paper acknowledges the crucial connection with urban construction.Under the investigation of relevant cases at home and abroad,it achieves the development trend and characteristics of waterfront space worldwidely,then integrates with their own design.Based on the investigation and analysis of the waterfront square in Yanji city,its design principles and overall design concepts are formulated by combining theory with practice.This paper takes waterfront open space with regional ethnic characteristics as the starting point,then it analyzes their background and design overview.Meanwhile their suggestions on the design and development are put forward,it’s expected to offer constructive comments on the waterfront square in Yanji City.
