The scaling mechanism based on the basic unit not only has the characteristics of unchanged shape during the scaling process,but also has the advantages of simplifying the analysis process,easy optimization and realizing modular design.These advantages make the scaling mechanism have good storage,transportation and can scale in and out.These functions better meet the actual needs of aerospace,industrial production,large-scale construction and other fields,so that the scaling mechanism has a broad application prospect.T he main research work of this paper is as follows.Firstly,the scaling mechanisms based on planar units are comprehensively analyzed.By analyzing the geometric structure of the planar scaling units and their corresponding mechanisms,their main influencing factors of the scaling ratio are obtained.According to the parameters of the basic components,mathematical descriptions of the scaling ratios of different mechanisms are proposed.Then through the actual optimization design,the conclusion of the influencing factors of the scaling ratio of the planar scaling mechanisms is verified.Secondly,for the spatial scaling mechanism,this paper analyzes in detail the scaling principle of the spatial curved rod shear fork unit.According to the obtained scaling conditions,the geometric relationship of the mechanism is analyzed and the main influencing factors of the scaling ratio of the spatial scaling mechanism are studied.Then the main influence factors of the scaling ratio of the spatial scaling mechanism are verified by using 3D modeling for kinematic analysis and simulation.The mathematical description of scaling mechanisms’scaling ratio is summed up and put forward.Integrating the analysis results of four scaling mechanisms,a deduction on the relationship between the scaling ratio influence factors and the basic unit parameters is put forward.Finally,according to the extension method of general scaling mechanisms’configuration based on basic units,different bevel gear units and different combinations are listed,and a new basic units of bevel gear which is similar to a regular pyramid is proposed.Then,a new space-enclosed spatial scaling mechanism based on bevel gear units is constructed.Through the analysis of the scaling principle and geometric characteristics of the bevel gear scaling mechanism,the new mechanism’s scaling ratio influence factors are proposed.And the correctness of the mathematical description of the scaling mechanism scaling ratio is verified by analysis and over-verification.Then carry out the kinematics analysis and simulation of the mechanism,verify the analysis results and the feasibility of the mechanism,and realize the application of the mechanism.This article analyzes the scaling ratio of the scaling mechanism deeply,proposes and verifies the theory of the scaling mechanism,effectively expands the research field of the scaling mechanism,and lays the foundation for the simplified design and practical application of the scaling mechanism.
