Research On Ethical Issues Of Automated Driving Technology Under The View Of Responsibility Ethics

In recent years,the widespread application of artificial intelligence and big data has led to the rapid development of automated driving technology,and automated vehicles are gradually entering people’s lives and providing convenience for people’s travel.While automatic driving technology brings convenience to humans,it also raises many ethical issues,such as: How should we choose when the automatic driving system encounters decision-making dilemmas? Who is the first person to be protected? Automated driving raises a number of issues such as the blurring of responsibility for traffic accidents.Although automated driving has many technical advantages,this does not mean that it is better at solving ethical problems.The ethical issues of automated driving,which is a concrete application of artificial intelligence in the field of transportation,will eventually need to be solved by human scholars based on ethical considerations,and the ethical issues of automated driving are becoming one of the major obstacles to the large-scale application of this technology.The paper firstly examines the current state of development of automated driving technology at home and abroad.Secondly,it provides an in-depth analysis of the possible ethical issues of automated driving technology and summarizes them into three types of ethical issues:decision ethics,safety ethics,and economic ethics.The ethical principles of automated driving technology are constructed from the philosophical,legal and economic aspects,namely the ethical principles of decision-making,safety and economic ethics,to provide a basis for decision making in solving the ethical problems of automated driving technology;finally,based on the above-mentioned principles,this paper makes policy recommendations to solve the current ethical problems plaguing the development of automated driving technology,namely by clarifying the application environment of automated driving technology.In addition,we will take measures such as establishing driver selection priorities,improving the automated driving life support system,promoting insurance mechanisms and the integrity of relevant laws and regulations to clear the ethical obstacles in the development of China’s automated driving technology and help people travel safely.
