| From the construction of new socialist countryside to the beautiful countryside plan to the rural revitalization strategy, the country and the whole society continue to pay more attention to rural development.Rural construction was promoted nationwide, and various achievements began to emerge. However, the construction quality was uneven, and the mismatch between supply and demand became a common phenomenon. The academic circle reflects on its design process and thinks that the main reason for the mismatch of supply and demand is that the design model of the dual relationship between the designer and party a in the city is copied, and the lack of public participation in the design process. Therefore, this paper focuses on the design process of rural buildings with public participation.Due to the diversity of stakeholders, the design process of rural architecture is more complex. The role of the architect extends from a single designer to a village researcher,a professional adviser to the villagers,a collaborative designer of rural architecture,a coordinator between the villagers and the government. On the basis of the previous theoretical analysis, this paper studied a complete case of public participation process through data collection, interviews, tracking observation and records.Firstly, this paper discusses the construction mode of rural architectural design and the necessity of public participation, and divides the current rural architectural construction mode into four types: government-led,social capital-led,village-led and multi-party cooperative. Then it discusses the design process and the characteristics of public participation, and divides the design process of public participation into four stages: the goal planning stage, the research stage, the plan design stage, the construction and operation stage. It discusses in detail the situation of public participation, the value orientation of each side and the occupation status of the architect in each stage. This study reveals the interaction among architects, villagers and the government in the practical work during the "public participation" design process, and summarizes the forms and demands of public participation in the current Chinese rural architectural design practice. This paper discusses the decisionmaking tendency of architects in the face of the direction of different stakeholders such as the villagers and the government. This paper summarizes the identity orientation, communication dilemma,decision-making principle and interaction mode of architects in each stage of design.Through the tracking investigation and analysis of the design process of SHIXI central village in QUANJIAO county,ANHUI province, this paper expounds the public participation in each stage, the way of participation, the functions of the government and the responsibilities of construction, and presents a detailed framework of the public participation process. The research shows that the public participation in China is still in the early stage, and the group characteristics of the public participation mainly present strong conformity psychology, concern about the relevant interests of individuals, insufficient driving force for participation, alienation of driving force for participation, insufficient expression of will, etc. The participation mechanism is characterized by single mode of participation, fragmented process of participation,one-sided content of participation, lack of feedback mechanism, lack of supervision mechanism and so on.The paper puts forward some optimization strategies, such as diversified modes of public participation, wholeprocess process of public participation,closed-loop completion of public participation, sound supervision mechanism and scientific organization method, and finally constructs a complete working model of rural architects. |
