This research is based on the Critical Chain technique of schedule management, this research firstly designed and optimized the schedule planning and control in the data center design project schedule management process, through the Critical Chain technique principle, buffer setting, constraints and so on.Further elaboration and application in the central design project have positive academic significance in expanding the research field of project schedule management, and also have certain reference value for solving the practical problems of data center design project progress management in China. The main research contents include:(1)Review the progress management theory, and introduce the theory and research status of the Critical Chain technique based on the constraint theory;(2)Introduce the data module design components, workflow, existing progress management system analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and main problems of the data center design project, and identifies the main nodes in the data center design project schedule management.(3)Through the demand analysis, the data center design project schedule management model is proposed to the data center.Based on the actual work content of the design, the specific methods of identifying the critical chain, setting the buffer and managing the buffer are discussed.(4)Take the X data center design project as an example to verify the effective application of the schedule management model. The progress management model established in the data center design project field provides ideas and reference for solving the practical problems in the data center design project schedule management. It also enriches the theoretical system for schedule management in similar feature projects.
