With the rapid development of social economy,science and technology are changing with each passing day,the requirements of modern urbanization to architectural design are more complex and semantic is more abundant.The characteristics of architecture are no longer limited to the material itself,the differentiation trend between the internal and external properties of the structure is more distinct,and the functional and expressive characteristics of the architectural epidermis are more diversified.The trend of modernization highlights the technical characteristics while at the same time,although the forms are rich and diverse from the surface,the common features are obvious at a glance,that is,the pursuit of the external form of the architectural skin and the transformation of science and technology.How to be different from the converging architectural model in the process of modern city,so as to reflect the regional architectural context characteristics? In addition to architectural stylistic features,architectural skin features are important elements worthy of careful study.Xinjiang is located in the hinterland of Asia and is an important section of the ancient Silk Road.Indian culture,Persian Arab culture,ancient Greek culture,Central Plains culture in the history what is integration and development,the diversity characteristic is obvious.Xinjiang has a vast region and rich natural environment features,not only cultural customs are diverse,but also its architectural characteristics are unique.The regional architecture of Xinjiang has its own characteristics because of its simplicity,unity of internal structure and external form.Although the concept of architectural skin has not been put forward for a long time,it has existed on the building since its birth of architecture.With the continuous growth and development of architecture,it can be said that the skin of traditional architecture can best reflect the essential characteristics of architecture.As the name card of architectural image,the skin most truly reflects the local cultural characteristics.In view of traditional architecture with regional cultural characteristics,people pay little attention to the characteristics of its architectural skin,especially the understanding of traditional raw soil architecture in xinjiang that it is a kind of naked architecture without skin.In the early days,people were limited by social productivity,and the materials used in buildings were often raw soil,wood,stones,bricks and tiles,etc.In this way,the architectural structure itself is regarded as the visible outer skin of the building.This feature derives from the simplest protomorphism,and the skin of modern architecture plays a more abundant and personalized role.Throughout the development history of world architecture,from the simple form to the complexity,from the natural materials to synthesis,from intuitive to metaphor,architectural skin,as one of the expressive forms of architectural design,has its experiential functions and cognitive attributes supplemented and developed with the progress of human science and technology.The proposal and research of the concept of regional architecture epidermis can make us break through the limitation of the concept of modern architecture skin,and help to provide reference for the continuation and innovation of the context of regional architecture,and make the characteristics of regional architecture epidermis become an active cultural element in modern urban architecture.This paper mainly studies the skin characteristics of regional architecture in xinjiang from five aspects.The first part explains the concept of architecture and architectural skin,and then expounds the architectural skin from the traditional and modern perspectives.The second part analyzes the concept of regional architectural skin and the characteristics of environment,technology and humanity of regional architectural skin.The third part analyzes the skin characteristics of regional architecture in xinjiang from the perspective of natural environment and human history.The fourth part analyzes the visual characteristics of architectural skin elements in xinjiang from four perspectives: material,pattern,color and architectural structure.The fifth part analyzes the inheritance and innovation of regional architectural skin in xinjiang from the two aspects of traditional building materials and modern building materials.Under the promotion of modern building materials,how to carry on the interpretation and inheritance of traditional building materials and its role in the development of future architectural skin design concepts.
