Along with the rapid development of China’s modern economy,manufacturing enterprises play an indispensable role in China’s economic growth process.Manufacturing-oriented enterprises are facing the increasingly fierce competition under the influence of economic globalization.This phenomenon is especially true in the automotive industry.If the enterprises want to win a place in the brutal market competition,they need to continuously improve their own manufacturing level and management level.As for the complicated structural characteristics of the automobile,consumers have stricter requirements on components such as interior and exterior parts of automobiles,and automobile manufacturers also put forward higher requirements for automobile parts manufacturing enterprises.Therefore,auto parts manufacturers have their high-quality products will undoubtedly win the competition in the automotive products market.In recent years,H Company has continuously emerged that due to various problems,it is impossible to complete the production planning tasks on time.The number of finished products per day cannot be maintained at an average level,and the fluctuation of output is very large,which seriously affects the economic benefits of the company and the relationship between the company and its customers.In the production process of automobile interior and exterior parts,assembly is the last step of product production.The assembly process is often accompanied by complicated work tasks and large workload.However,whether the assembly line is balanced or not directly affects the efficiency of work in the assembly line and the economic benefits of the company.Therefore,this paper takes the license plate light decorative board assembly line of H company’s interior and exterior decoration assembly workshop as the research object,and evaluates the balance of the license plate light decorative board assembly line by using the quantifiable assembly line balance rate and balance loss rate,and with the smoothness index evaluates the discrete situation of time distribution in each workstation on the license plate decoration board assembly line.Based on the understanding of the operation process of the license plate decoration board assembly line,this paper uses the industrial engineering basic method to measure the working hours,and obtains the time spent on each elemental task of the license platedecoration board assembly line through data analysis.By the standard time of each work station calculates the three indexes of assembly line balance rate,balance loss rate and smoothness index,and then finds that the balance effect of the license plate decoration board assembly line is very poor.Finally,the reasons for the imbalance of the license plate decoration board assembly line is found,from work load,5S management,and multi-skilled worker training of the assembly line improve the assembly line balance,thereby improving the balance rate of the license plate decoration board assembly line.
