The demand for natural gas in China continues to grow at a high speed,causing more and more pressure on the natural gas supply system.Although the exploration and exploitation of natural gas is also increasing year by year,but the growth rate can not catch up with the growth rate of demand.Resulting in China’s natural gas imports increasing year by year,the degree of dependence on foreign sources is getting higher and higher.Among the imported gas sources,pipeline gas only accounts for a small part,while LNG sources account for the majority.LNG has problems such as insufficient supply and high prices,etc.With the implementation and expansion of the national policy of " lucid waters and lush mountains ",“Coal to Gas” project has developed rapidly.During the winter peak period of gas consumption,there is a large-scale "gas shortage" phenomenon in the whole country.The situation of gas shortage in China would exist for a long time and in a large range.How to effectively store and peak shaving gas to ensure the safety of natural gas supply in the peak period of gas consumption is the problem we must study and solve.Firstly,in this paper,the background of gas shortage in China and the fact that gas storage and peak-shaving facilities are insufficient are put forward,and the current situation of gas storage and peak-shaving at domestic and abroad is studied.Secondly,the gas storage and peakshaving technology is studied from the three aspects of natural gas supply,gas source side,demand side and transmission and distribution side.Gas source side peak-shaving mainly includes gas source production and gas source exchange,and demand side peak-shaving mainly depends on peak-shaving gas price to develop peak-trimming users,and transmission and distribution side mainly uses various gas storage and peak-trimming facilities to ensure supply safety.Thirdly,the paper focus on research the gas storage and peak-shaving technology at the transmission and distribution side.It calculates the net annual value of unit cost of underground gas storage,LNG receiving station,LNG satellite station and CNG station by the net annual value method,and compares the gas storage and peak-shaving technology of different scales by using the results,and obtains the optimal solution,and puts forward some optimization suggestions for the gas storage-peak-shaving schemes of different levels of the country,regions and cities.Finally,according to the actual situation of gas shortage in SY city of Northeast China,the gap gas volume in peak period is calculated by the integration method of daily load curve fitting formula.By using the peak month and day coefficient method to estimate the gas storage scale of the city at the end of the 14 th Five-Year Plan,it is proposed to use LNG storage station for gas storage and peak shaving,and carry out the plane layout of the storage station,and estimate the total investment,and analysis the feasibility.
