With the developing of economic and the arising of oil price, the demand ofnatural gas is huge. Called clean energy, natural gas has a far-reaching influence onthe current social economy. When applied in industrial and civil, the malconformationbetween gas demand and gas consumption, appeared in the gas transport system, is adifficult problem in the peak modulation. In the process of peak modulation, thestorage of natural gas is the most technological problem. There is some commonlyused methods, such as used for high pressure gas storage load, load of high pressurepipeline, LNG peak-shaving and ANG peak shaving. For the advantages as its largestorage capacity, storage pressure, low security the ANG peak shaving is a researchhot spot.Our research object is the CNG peak shaving tank and technology of peakshaving. First of all, we design a set of ANG peak shaving technology that is suitableof a small city. It mainly includes the choice of adsorbent, design of the tank, anddetailed study of the key technology in the process. The main conclusions are: Thevolume of the tank is500m~3, Using surface activated carbon as optimum adsorbent,Pressed by wet method for activated carbon molding process, With the method ofsegmentation chamber filled with activated charcoal, Eliminated the use of circulatingwater pipe for the adsorption heat effect, The rate of the circulating water is2m/s, Thediameter of Pipe is32mm, With the help of activated carbon regeneration hightemperature liquid nitrogen purging.Our study object is the Shenzhen gas’s natural gas station in Jingdezhen.According to the actual gas using situation in the region,we estimated two ANG tankswith500m~3volume to meet the peak demand. Equipment on the analysis of theprocess of ANG storage tank, we needed high surface area activated carbon about400t, and the price of ANG storage tank in this process will cost about5.7millionYuan. The odorization choice tetrahydrothiophene as odorize, differential pressureflow meter use to measure the flow rate and the pressure regulator use spring slice type. finally,by comparing the peak shaving of CNG and ANG in the small scaleLNG recharge stations, we found that volume of ANG is a quarter of CNG when usethe same volume of tank. The operating cost of ANG is lower.Therefore; the ANGhas long-term obvious economic advantage and is worth promoting. So it has welleconomic benefit. At last, we analysis the operating flexibility and potential of ANGshaving process, and expound its bright prospects. When design the adsorption tank,we had some practical question and difficult, which will be present in the below.
