During the construction of asphalt pavement,the temperature of the asphalt mixture construction is an important factor affecting the construction quality and road performance.Therefore,it is very important to choose a reasonable method for determining the construction temperature of the asphalt mixture.As a new type of bonding material,foamed asphalt mixture is lack of research on the determination method of its construction temperature.This paper analyzes the method of determining the construction temperature of foamed asphalt by using the stirring power of the mixing test machine,and studies the mixing test machine and its working parameters.The paper by analyzing the method of determining the construction temperature of the matrix asphalt mixture by using the viscosity-temperature curve of the matrix asphalt points out the disadvantages of using this method to determine the construction temperature of the foamed asphalt mixture.Furthermore,the method of using the stirring power of the mixing test device to determine the construction temperature of the foamed asphalt mixture is studied,and a test of the stirring power is carried out.The test results show that the blade crushing material has a great influence on the stirring power.Based on the structure of the double-horizontal mixer,considering the impact of the blade crushing material on the stirring power,the design and calculation of the mixing test machine is carried out.The structure and size of the stirring cylinder of the mixing test machine,the number and arrangement of the single-spindle stirring arms,the arrangement of the double-spindle stirring arms,the test shaft and blade structure,and the arrangement of the three-axis stirring arms are determined.Finally,EDEM software is used to study the working parameters of the mixing test machine The effects of several operating parameters,such as the spindle speed,the mounting angle of the spindle blade,and the filling rate,on the uniformity of the mixing of the mixture are analyzed,and their respective reasonable ranges are obtained,and simulation methods are designed using orthogonal test methods;Using the discrete coefficient as the evaluation indexof the stirring uniformity,the simulation results of different matching schemes of working parameters are analyzed.The optimal working parameters of the stirring test machine are determined as follows: the spindle speed is 95r/min,the installation angle of the spindle stirring blade is 45?,and the filling rate is 0.5.In this paper,the research work and research results of the test device and its operating parameters for determining the construction temperature of foamed asphalt mixture provide theoretical support for the development of mixing test machines.
