The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is the frontier area of economic development in China.More large and super-large engineering projects have emerged in this region where the economy is booming.For example,The Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is located in this area.With the need of economic development,more and more extra large cross sea bridges and subsea tunnels will be constructed in The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and will widely use bridge deep water area foundation to implement these engineering.So,how to construct the bridge foundation in deep water will be one of the key and difficult points in similar projects.the steel sheet pile cofferdam has the characteristics of convenient construction,low requirements for lifting equipment,good waterproof performance and low cost,which is a common method for underwater foundation construction.According to the actual project needs,designing and optimizing the steel sheet pile cofferdam structure,collecting relevant data in the construction process and further studying the application of steel sheet pile cofferdam in bridge deep water foundation construction has high research value.Known as "small Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao",Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge(the channel crossing the river between Shenzhen and Zhongshan)is a super large bridge located between Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao grand bridge and Humen second bridge.In the study,we took the construction process of Embedded cap of non-navigable hole bridge in the east flood discharge area of Shenzhong-Zhong Bridge as the research background.After analyzing and understanding the design requirements,construction environment,construction difficulty,economic comparison and other aspects of the cap,the design structure form of h-beam reinforced steel sheet pile cofferdam was put forward,and the construction scheme of h-beam reinforced steel sheet pile cofferdam was introduced in detail.Based on the actual construction situation on site,we selected 10# H-steel reinforced steel sheet pile cofferdam as the calculation model,used Midas Civil finite element software to analyze the six construction conditions,and compared the simulation results with the monitoring data.The results shows that the numerical simulation results are good,and the strength,stiffness,embedded stability and anti uplift stability of the H-steel reinforced steel sheet pile cofferdam under the six working conditions meet the requirements of relevant specifications,and meet the requirements of site construction.The field application also shows the safety and economy of H-steel reinforced steel sheet pile cofferdam,which provides reference for the construction of bridge deep water foundation.
