In recent years,with the development of China’s economy and the prosperity of In recent years,with the development of China’s economy and the prosperity of island tourism,island homestays have become more and more popular among Chinese leisure travellers as the experience content of Chinese leisure vacation.As the Beibu Gulf island is a rising star in the development of China’s island tourism,the Beibu Gulf island homestay has gradually become the focus of tourism with the development of the times.Under this background,the Beibu Gulf island homestay design has become an important object of contemporary Chinese design research.At the same time,with the transformation of the contemporary Chinese tourism model to experience-oriented leisure and vacation tours,experiencers pay more attention to the unique natural landscape and local culture of the island homestay,as well as the comprehensive experience of modern and comfortable leisure culture.The development of Beibu Gulf Island B&B must also pay attention to the above-mentioned holiday experience needs.However,the contemporary design of Beibu Gulf Island B&B faces the above-mentioned development goals and is confused about the lack of regional specificity and the applicability of experience design.Therefore,this article proposes a theoretical research system of experience design for the Beibu Gulf island homestay,and it is very necessary to explore more reasonable and scientific design strategies and ideas.This article uses the "empathy,separation and arousal" method of experience design to solve the problems in the design of Beibu Bay island homestays.From the design form language,we analyze the design features of well-known island homestays at home and abroad and extract the local culture and natural characteristics of Weizhou Island.The research aims to obtain the practical guidance for the experience design of the Beibu Bay Weizhou Island B&B based on the design goals,design principles,design methods and strategies of the island’s B&B.In terms of research methods,this article adopts the literature review method to summarize and refine relevant theoretical research and results in the academic world,as the basis of theoretical research in this article,and provide sufficient theoretical basis for subsequent research.Secondly,the field survey method was used to conduct on-site investigations on the Beibu Gulf Island B&B,collect relevant data,and lay the foundation for the later design work.In addition,this article uses case analysis method to analyze the cases of well-known island homestays at home and abroad to provide guidance and reference methods for specific design practices.Finally,using the design research method to refine the local culture and natural characteristics of Weizhou Island,analyze the new ideas and new methods of island homestay design from the perspective of experience design,and apply it to the specific Weizhou Island homestay design practice to make the research results More practical application value.The research content of this article is divided into five parts.The first part is the preliminary basic research,introducing the topic background,research purpose and significance,and expounding the status quo of relevant research at home and abroad.The second part defines the research scope of this article,focuses on the concept of island homestay and experience design,and innovatively proposes empathy,separation and arousal and other experience design research methods,which lays the theoretical foundation for the development of the thesis.The third part analyzes the development status of the Beibu Gulf island homestay industry,combined with the case study of Beibu Gulf island homestays,and summarizes the inaccurate empathy positioning,the lack of understanding of customers’ preference for design forms,and the inaccurate expression of the form language A clear status quo.The fourth part sorts out the development history of contemporary island homestays,selects well-known island homestays at home and abroad,and conducts detailed analysis,sums up their commonalities in evoking formal expressions in the island’s natural environment,local culture and leisure culture,and design goals for the following article The proposal provides sufficient theoretical support.The fifth part analyzes the local culture and natural characteristics of Weizhou Island,explores the formal language of Weizhou Island homestay experience design,discusses the future target customer group positioning of Weizhou Island based on empathy and the customer group formal language based on separation Preference analysis and the design goals,principles,strategies and methods of Weizhou Island B&B based on the arousal,and prove its feasibility through design practice and application.
