Recreational Fishing Village Landscape Design Of Guanglu Island

Islands have attracted people’s attention by its special landscapes and cultures.With the rapid development of tourism, the development construction of islands haveentered a new stage that the landscape resources and traditional culture are facing crisis.The North Islands of our country have beautiful natural landscapes, but landscapesof is unsatisfactory. The insignificant architectural style and disorder street space couldnot grant the demand of tourism development. Therefore, in the planning and design oftourism proposal, these villages will be replaced by different luxury resorts. At the sametime, the culture of original inhabitants will disappears.During the preparation of thesis, The author has participated in the master plan ofDalian Guanglu island, and appreciated the situation of islands cultures in the economicdevelopment is in a vulnerable position. The author also realized the lack of traditionalculture protection in master plan, and hoped to find the balance between tourism andtraditional culture. During the planning period, I have started to think how to solve theproblems of tourism development and regional culture inheritance from the perspectiveof landscape design after many investigations.Duoluomu is a beautiful, independent, undeveloped village on Guanglu island. Theauthor summarizes the theory of island landscape design and cultural by studying theelements of island landscape, the values of fishermen cultural, the local building, thebehaviors of local people, the spirit of place and leisure fishing village. Then I havefound the way to solve the contraction of tourism development and culture by analyzingcurrent situation,excavating local cultural, studying the problems of culture inlandscape design.This thesis includes regional landscape, village landscape design and nodelandscape design three aspects, based on the culture in landscape design, with theprinciples of ecological principles and minimum intervention, and uses path planningand landscape partition design method. Make the function and landscape of Duoluomuvillage to adapt the development of tourism and to improve the life quality of localresidents though the landscape design. The more important is to preserve the traditional cultures which implicate in the local residents life or disappear. Culture is not just in thesymbol of the architecture and the landscape design, and more in the process ofproduction and living of residents. The respect of production and life of residents is thecornerstone of landscape design. Landscape design is to create a space, which can helpto represent the meaning of cultural. The landscape design aims to provide moreconvenient life for residents. And for tourists, the target of landscape design is to restorethe landscape of island.
