| Indonesia is the largest archipelago country in the world,located in Southeast Asia and between Asia and Europe.The equator traverses central Indonesia,creating a hot,rainy,breezy and humid climate.Such climatic conditions are suitable for the growth of crops.In addition,due to the volcanic ash,the soil is fertile and the products are rich.Indonesia’s special geographical location,climatic environment,historical conditions and ethnic diversity have resulted in Indonesia’s cultural diversity.Traditional residential buildings are the carrier of traditional culture,and the diversity of Indonesian culture has created the diversity of traditional residential buildings.The establishment of China and ASEAN Free Trade Area has led to more frequent cooperation and exchanges between Indonesia and China.Better and deeper cooperation requires us to better understand Indonesia’s culture,and the study of traditional dwellings is an important point.This paper is a preliminary study on the traditional dwellings of the main islands in Indonesia.Based on the collection and excavation of Indonesia’s historical data,as well as on-the-spot investigation,the author analyzes and studies Indonesia’s development history,traditional villages,traditional residential buildings,design strategies and architectural decoration,and summarizes its characteristics.And compared with traditional houses in Western Pacific countries,the author tries to find out their commonness and individuality.This paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which focuses on the topic source,research background,research object and content,concept definition,research purpose and significance,research status and research framework,and puts forward the corresponding research methods.The second chapter is the natural conditions and social and cultural elements of Indonesia,comprehensively interpreting the geographical environment and climate characteristics of Indonesia.The third chapter introduces the traditional villages in Indonesia,analyzes the location,classification and morphological characteristics of the villages,briefly analyzes the public buildings and burial buildings in the villages,and proves them with examples.The fourth chapter is about the types and general situation of traditional houses in Indonesia.According to the number of houses and the geographical location,traditional houses in Indonesia are divided into Kalimantan houses,Sumatra houses,Sulawesi houses,Java houses,Nusa Tenggara houses and other islands houses,and a brief analysis is made of the houses in Chinese immigration and colonial period.Each type can be divided into several types,and the basic characteristics of these types are summarized.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the architectural design of traditional houses in Indonesia,which abstracts the design strategy of traditional houses in Indonesia from the aspects of orientation,spatial form,plane layout,materials,modeling,ritual activities and symbolic meaning,construction methods and ecological technology.The sixth chapter is the decoration of traditional houses in Indonesia.Through the case study,the paper analyzes the decoration characteristics and decoration technology.The seventh chapter is the comparative analysis with the traditional houses in the Western Pacific countries,especially with the houses of ethnic minorities in Southwest the mainland and Taiwan aborigines,from the village site selection and planning,architectural plane,architectural modeling,building materials This paper analyzes the similarities and differences between Indonesia and other countries in the Western Pacific Ocean,and then analyzes the long house and ship house which are widely distributed in Western Pacific countries.It compares Indonesia and other countries in the Western Pacific Ocean in terms of the causes,plane,shape and space to find out the similarities and differences.The word count of this article is about 123262 words,including 234 charts(figure of 229,table of 5). |
