Art Deco Of The The Lijiang Naxi Traditional Houses Doors And Windows

The traditional residence which is an important type of Chinese architecture has maintained the closest relation with people's life. A large number of special residential buildings still exit intactly in the Nahsis gathering area of Lijiang. Naxi architectural ornament has a long historical standing and cultural deposits, especially woodcutting doors and windows what are practical and artistic. The Nahsis have formed exquisite craftsmanship and national characters step by step as their studying about the Hans and other nationalities. All of these architecture the woodcutting doors and windows take up a great proportion and show us splendid traditional art.The topic of this thesis is selected from "Research of Yunnan National Architectural Technology and Cultural Gene"which is a fund project.The thesis wants to rese arch the historical progress of Nahsis decorative art about doors and windows, especially the decorative feature of woodcutting doors and windows. The whole research includes types/technics/theme/molding/material and based on the Nahsis regionally feature. The deconstruction of Nahsis national culture will be tried as well as expounding the culture's evolvement. The thesis will research the achievement of Nahsis decorative art about doors and windows, including social customs/history connotations/artistic characteristics, and the contribution of national culture in theory. The Nahsis decorative art about doors and windows which has reference value about modernistic design inosculates life and art.There are two kinds of Innovation in the thesis. Firstly, the natural/open/simple notion and technique of expression are studied from the Nahsis traditional doors and windows. Secondly, the study is in favor of succeeding and protecting Nahsis traditional doors and windows, as well as developing the decorative art of Lijiang Nahsis traditional residence, especially the national doors and windows.
