Seismic isolation bearings are currently used in large quantities in areas with high humidity and heat ocean environments.Organic coatings(Acrylic coatings)are generally selected as the anti-corrosion method due to low cost and easy operation.However,the light loss rate of acrylic organic coating in special atmospheric environment can reach the limit of 80% in 3 years.Therefore,for most of the isolated buildings with a design life of50 years,it is necessary to carry out high-frequency maintenance of the isolation bearings in the life cycle of the building.The reasons are as follows:First,most of the bearings are set in the hidden underground isolation layer,so the corrosion of the bearings is easy to be ignored by the users;Second,the government has not yet issued the mandatory provisions for the daily maintenance and management of building isolation bearings,which leads to the lack of corresponding mechanism and funding guarantee for the maintenance work;The third is the lack of corresponding maintenance technical standards;the fourth is the limitation of maintenance operation,even if the maintenance is difficult and the cost is high.Therefore,it is urgent to strengthen the theoretical research of bearing anti-corrosion and put forward the long-term anti-corrosion and maintenance scheme which is technically and economically feasible.In this paper,aims at studying the failure laws of the organic coating in the severe corrosive environment through mathematical methods and exploring the technical feasibility and economy anti-corrosion schemes.The main tasks are as follows:(1)Using the grey theory method to predict the failure process of the organic coating on the seismic isolation bearing.providing a method for the evaluation and prediction of coating life in the regular maintenance of process.(2)Comparing the measured data and the result of theoretical prediction method,it is pointed out that the life span of acrylic and alkyd organic coatings used in the existing seismic isolation bearings in ocean atmosphere is 3-5 years.(3)Exploring the possible technical feasibility anti-corrosion plan.listing the cash flow within the building life cycle.Using the cost present value comparison method and the Ehlig formula method to evaluate the different plan.The study found that Organic coating is not a very economical anti-corrosion method.The anti-corrosion method of weathering steel is the best economic solution.(4)Discussing the management methods of anti-corrosion maintenance of the existing(5)seismic isolation bearings in the severe corrosive environment.Exploring a series of management strategy including the organization of post maintenance,inspection methods,corrosion evaluation.
