| The ancient Hui-pai architecture is one of the most important genres in the ancient architectural complex in China.Among them,the Ancient Ancestral Halls,Ancient Dwellings and Ancient Archways are prominent representatives.They have extremely high cultural,artistic and scientific value and are known as "The three wonders of Hui-pai".The main structure of the existing form of Hui-pai traditional wooden structure,after centuries of vicissitudes in the years among the wooden poles as the main components may appear split,rotten and even different degrees of fracture and other damage,there is an urgent need for repair and strengthen.In recent years,the traditional methods of reinforcement and repair for wooden pillars are mainly based on specifications or the subjective experience of craftsmen.However,there are very few experimental studies on pier joint reinforcement of wooden pillars.This gives the actual repair and protection of the wooden structure of traditional Hui-pai buildings.Work has brought certain difficulties.This paper takes a single layer two-span timber frame as the research object,carries on vertical static loading test and numerical calculation to it,analyzes the mechanical performance of different pier connection methods and different heights to strengthen the wooden columns.The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Introduced in detail the structural characteristics and architectural styles of ancient Hui-pai buildings,analyzed the unique cultural connotation and artistic value of ancient Hui-pai buildings,expounded the common damage forms and causes of damage to wooden pillars in ancient Hui-pai buildings,summarized the current research status of wooden structures of the domestic and foreign traditional buildings.(2)According to the relevant standard test methods,the material characteristics of the used fir wood are tested,and the main physical and mechanical performance parameters of the wood such as moisture content,cross-grain compression and tension,along-grain compression,flexural strength,and elastic modulus are obtained.Perform related conversions and analyze the force state of the wooden column under the load.Finally,according to the typical structure of the ancient Hui-pai wooden structure,the vertical load on a single wooden column is calculated according to the code;(3)Taking the “Dun mutang” in Xu Village,Huangshan City as the prototype,the typical structure in the wood structure of Hui-pai buildings is selected,the wood species is locally produced fir,design 1:2.72 ratio scale production of a single two-bay lossless across wooden frame monotonously vertical static loading test,By studying the stress-strain,load-displacement,deformation relationship and other damage at the poles of the load stress characteristics and key positions,analysis of the non-destructive Hui-pai buildings Mechanical properties of wooden pillars.(4)Aiming at the pier-joining and reinforcing wooden columns used in the daily repair of ancient Hui-pai buildings,and according to requirements of the "Technical Code for Maintenance and Reinforcement of Ancient Buildings",the design adopts a scaled ratio of 1:2.72 to produce 3 different Wooden column pier joint reinforcement form(dovetail pier joint,hand mortise joint pier joint and palm tenon(dark tenon)pier joint)and single-layer two-span with different wooden column pier joint heights(200mm column foot height and 1/4 original fir height)The timber frame was subjected to a monotonic static vertical loading test,and compared with the non-destructive wooden column.The results showed that the three types of pier-joint reinforcement wooden columns are reasonable,Compared to the 200 mm column base pier height,the reinforcement effect of the 1/4 original fir pier height is poor,and the reinforcement effect of the dovetail pier with1/4 original fir pier height is obviously inferior to the other two 1/4 pier height forms;(5)Using Abaqus CAE software for testing wooden frame has been calculated,and the test results were compared and analyzed to further confirm the use of these three reinforced wooden pier access method in actual maintenance project is feasible,and also verified the "Maintenance of Ancient Buildings" The rationality of the requirements for the height of the pier-joining wooden column in the Technical Specifications for Reinforcement and Reinforcement has determined that the reasonable limit of the pier-joining height of the wooden column should be controlled within 1/4 of the original fir height and the reinforcement area should be as far away as possible from the middle of the wooden column.Through the theoretical and experimental research of repaired and reinforced wooden columns of traditional Huizhou buildings,it can provide reference for the repair and reinforcement of wooden columns in Huizhou traditional buildings and similar ancient buildings in other areas in China.It will provide a theoretical basis for the future on-site construction in the ancient building maintenance and related engineering and technical personnel protection,and provide
