Suggestions On The Interpretation Planning Of The Shibing Karst World Natural Heritage Site Based On The Needs Of The Local Residents

For many World Natural Heritage,to understand their geo-scientific value,ecological value and other professional threshold,understanding clear need through some means of interpretation.Residents of heritage sites are important stakeholders and participants in the sustainable development of heritage,and have been the focus of heritage research.Whether the residents of the heritage community can fully understand the heritage information,such as the Outstanding Universal Value of the world heritage,determines their behavior patterns when the world heritage-related activities take place.At present,many heritage sites with world-class value are lagging behind in the development of heritage interpretation,and heritage interpretation do not play a positive role.Therefore,how to effectively communicate the heritage information such as the outstanding universal value of the World Natural Heritage to the local residents in the future is a problem to be solved.This research takes the Shibing Karst World Natural Heritage Site(hereinafter referred to as "Shibing heritage site")as a case,study to carry out on-the-spot investigation on the general situation of the residents in the heritage site and the interpretation status quo of the heritage site;through in-depth Interviews,discussed the needs of the residents of Shibing Heritage Site for heritage interpretation,;designed interpretation products according to the needs of residents,and carried out interpretation practice.Finally,according to the field investigation and in-depth interviews,this paper puts forward the corresponding explanation and planning countermeasures,and enumerates the excellent cases for reference.With a view to providing a reference for the interpretation planning of Shibing Karst,at the same time,for the future domestic other World Natural Heritage sitesto provide experience,especially for the South China Karst.Details are as follows:(1)At present,the existing interpretation services of the World Natural Heritage Site are mainly concentrated in the southern part of the core area,the Yuntai Mountain scenic area in the buffer zone and the Shamu river scenic area,and heritage interpretation is faced with more traditional facilities and equipment,interpretation of the lack of pertinence,the lack of thematic characteristics and other issues.It is difficult for the residents of the heritage site to know the value of the Shibing Heritage Site and the related information directly through the existing interpretation channels,thus affecting the residents’ recognition of the heritage and the participation of the heritage protection and management,constrains the development of the heritage site.(2)Through in-depth interviews with 37 residents of different types of heritage sites,it was found that the residents of Shibing Heritage Site had a high level of general knowledge,but a low level of understanding;The information of the residents in the heritage area has a narrow access channel,and the information content can not meet the needs of the residents for information interpretation.In addition,through the explanation practice,it is found that the residents of the heritage site prefer the information of the heritage and so on.In the form of explanation,it is attractive to distribute the daily necessities printed with the explanation to the public.(3)In the light of the current situation of interpretation of the site and the existing problems,as well as the needs of the residents of the site for interpretation of the site,a multidisciplinary survey team should be set up before the planning to form a list of interpretation resources of the site;To condense the theme of the features of the resources and to highlight as much as possible the links between the heritage and the residents.In the planning,we should combine the fact of Shibing Heritage Site,plan by stages and districts,strengthen the integration with upper planning,make full use of the existing infrastructure,"low-impact" development,and avoid increasing the construction difficulty.At the same time,in planning,different forms and contents of interpretation should be tailored to different types of residents,and the initiative of the residents of heritage sites should be enhanced by linking it to employment bonuses,Shibing Heritage Site to achieve the goal of "national interpretation",so as to achieve the sustainable development of heritage.
