Research On The Narrative Theme Expression In The Design Of Commemorative Exhibition Space

The commemorative space is a place to carry human emotions and memories,and a link among the past and the present and the future.With the development of social culture and the progress of science and technology,people’s pursuit of spirit and aesthetic cognition have been constantly improved,which makes modern commemorative space more diversified in both function and form.The commemorative exhibition space combines the elements and characteristics of the exhibition design,which not only meets the spiritual needs of the contemporary people,but also is endowed with the important social educational responsibility of commemorating the past and enlightening the future.On the other hand,the interdisciplinary application of narratology has developed rapidly in recent years.Since the essence of narrative and exhibition design are the same as the process of conveying information to the receiver,there is an inevitable internal connection between them.Therefore,the narrative design being applied in commemorative exhibition space and thus providing new theoretical basis and design ideas,can better satisfy people’s commemorative emotional appeal for space.For commemorative exhibition space,the expression of narrative theme is the core of the narrative design.Narrative theme not only sets the tone of the whole space,but also determines the premise and basis of narrative form and method.The narrative design of modern commemorative exhibition space should focus more on the expression of the narrative theme,so that the space can become a carrier to tell a story.This paper aims,based on the narrative theory and according to the classification and connotation of narrative theme in commemorative exhibition space,to explore the methods and thematic expression strategies of targeted narrative design,in order to effectively interpret the commemorative emotion and spirit in the space.This paper makes a systematic research on the narrative design construction and the expression of narrative theme of commemorative exhibition space by means of literature research method,case analysis method,comparative approach and multi-disciplinary approach.The first chapter introduces the research background,research purpose,significance,research status,method and innovation of commemorative space and narrative theory at home and abroad.The second chapter,through the research of commemorative exhibition space and related theories of narratology,inductively puts forward the concept and types of the narrative theme in the commemorative exhibition space.In the third chapter,respectively from the three different angles of view,narrative media,narrative space structure and pattern,and narrative time,the analysis and research on the pluralistic construction of modern commemorative exhibition space are carried out.Based on the contents of the above chapters,the fourth chapter combines the existing problems and the basic situation of commemorative exhibition space,proposes the principles and methods of narrative theme expression in commemorative exhibition space design.The fifth chapter applies the theory and design method of the previous research to practice,and verifies the feasibility of the narrative theme expression method through the design scheme of the exhibition space of Red Steel City Commemorative Hall.From the perspective of theoretical research,this paper summarizes the ideas of narrative construction of commemorative exhibition space from different perspectives,and proposes a set of principles and methods applicable to narrative theme expression in narrative design of modern commemorative exhibition space.In terms of practice,the relevant methods of narrative design are fully used in the exhibition space design of Red Steel City Commemorative Hall,and in the exhibition space of four different narrative sub-themes,the narrative theme is effectively expressed through the construction of scenes and the creation of narrative atmosphere.
