This research originated from the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Program key project: Research on the design method of high-density building clusters inheriting the traditional settlement organization concept in economically developed areas. The economically developed regions are mainly the Yangtze River Delta region, the Bohai Rim region, and the Pearl River Delta region. This study focuses on the Pearl River Delta region. As an important carrier of human settlement space, residential comfort is an important indicator to measure human settlement environment, and wind environment evaluation is an important factor of human settlement comfort. The Pearl River Delta region has a subtropical ocean monsoon climate. The rainy summer causes the environment to be sultry and humid,so the architectural wind environment has attracted more attention.Good wind environment design not only provides outdoor cooling places for occupants, but also accelerates outdoor air flow and improves air quality. At the same time,it will form a large wind pressure difference on the exterior of the building.Under the effect of the wind pressure difference, the air flow flows from positive pressure.Negative pressure drives the indoor air flow.Based on the climate of the Pearl River Delta region, this study simulates the wind environment of its multi-storey residential building layout, tests its ventilation performance, evaluates the excellent degree of the wind environment, and proposes optimization strategies to provide a reference for future building layout design. This study is divided into six parts: the first part is an introduction, and the second part briefly introduces the geographical characteristics and climatic conditions of the Pearl River Delta.Secondly,it summarizes the development process and status quo of the residential development in the Pearl River Delta region, and analyzes the typical cases, sums up the layout types of the typical residential areas in the Pearl River Delta region, and thus determines the simulation model of AIRPAK3.0 software. The third is to briefly introduce the evaluation criteria of wind environment at home and abroad, and select the criteria suitable for this study to evaluate the excellent wind environment. The third, fourth, and fifth parts are the focus of this study, which mainly divides the multi-storey residential buildings into three levels: building group, building combination, and building monomer. The wind environment impact factors are studied.By changing the single variable method, the three levels are respectively Simulate different situations, test the pros and cons of its internal wind environment, extract data results, and analyze the image simulation results at the same time, combine data statistics and images, and summarize the architectural wind environment under the influence of the architectural group layout Change the situation and get several patterns with better wind environment. The sixth part is the verification design of the previous research conclusions, trying to provide the corresponding strategies and suggestions for the architectural design based on the conclusions drawn in the third, fourth and fifth parts, selecting a plot for planning and design, and discussing the layout of multi-storey residential buildings Possibility of optimization of ventilation performance. The whole thesis contains about 38 000 words,120 pictures and charts.
