With the development of telecommuting, the increase of freelancers, and the growth of the number of mobile workers,Co-working spaces are increasing rapidly all over the world.Especially in China,as of 2019,China already has the most Co-working spaces in the world. However, with the rapid development of the Co-working space market, many problems have also been exposed. For example, the existing space design does not match the needs of local users, including the needs of users themselves and the needs of teams. These problems also led to the development of the Coworking space market encountering obstacles. In this context, for the experience of Co-working space,it is necessary to propose a targeted user evaluation system and explore design strategies.Through literature research and user network surveys, the paper constructs a POE evaluation indicators for Co-working space.Eight firstlevel indicators and 36 corresponding second-level indicators were determined. The eight first-level indicators include, accessibility, physical elements, services and facilities, spatial layout and scale, personal work area, space atmosphere, privacy and security, and community culture.Afterwards, the value of each evaluation indicator is determined through a questionnaire survey.By then, the evaluation system is constructed.8 Co-working spaces were selected to be evaluated.By analyzing the evaluation results, the paper summarizes the similarities and differences in these cases,as well as the corresponding measures to improve.According to the results of user surveys, the paper proposes 15 articles for Co-working in terms of the site location, spatial planning,lighting/color/material selection,furniture/furnishings/greenery,building equipment, space services. The specific design strategy of space. These strategies have also been applied to space design practice.Taking Fountown as an example,it explains how to apply the design strategy to the space design to create a Co-working space that meets the needs of users. And invited experts to evaluate the design. The results of the expert evaluation show that the space design retains the advantages of the case(service and facilities, space layout, space mood)and avoids the disadvantages of the case(privacy and security, personal workspace, physical environment). This shows that the spatial experience of this project is better than the current overall level of Co-working spaces. The paper proposes an evaluation system for Co-working space and corresponding design strategies. It can not only provide a reference for the design of other shared office spaces in the future.but also provides solutions for improving the overall user space experience in the Co-working space market.
