In recent years,the rapid warming of the global climate has made the international community pay more attention to environmental protection and greenhouse gas emissions,Meanwhile it has also provided new choices for ships to circumnavigate the Arctic.The collision between ships and broken ices in the Arctic has become an important factor threatening the safety of life and property.At present,the reasonable solution of ice force(i.e.,the force of ice on the hull)plays a key role in the study of ship structure and navigation safety for the interaction between ship and ice.Nowadays,the main ice conditions of ships in the ice area include: flat ice,broken ice and iceberg.The main research methods are ship model test and numerical simulation.Ship model test,as the most accurate research means,has become the first choice of research institutions at home and abroad,but its high cost hinders its rapid development.Numerical simulation is a low-cost research method,but in numerical simulation,additional mass is used to replace the role of water around the ship,ignoring the important role of water in dealing with the energy absorption of collision.Based on the above reasons,this paper adopts the coupling method of ship-ice-breaker and water,based on LS-DYNA numerical analysis software,and carries out an in-depth study on the structural response of ships in collision with ice breaker in the Arctic ice area.Its main contents are as follows:First of all,the background and significance of this research are comprehensively described,and the research progress and achievements on ship ice collision at home and abroad are analyzed and sorted out.Secondly,the basic theory and development of finite element calculation are introduced,and the application and calculation principle of the general nonlinear dynamics software LS-DYNA in the field of fluid-structure coupling are expounded.Thirdly,through the collision between the hull model and several pieces of floe of different sizes,the impact of the concentration rate and size of the broken ices on the collision force is preliminarily simulated,and the local force of the collision between the hull and the floe ice was explored,providing ideas for the specific direction of the subsequent numerical simulation.Finally,it is found that the bow is the dangerous position for collision between ship and ice.Collision simulation calculation was carried out under the conditions of bow,multi-density,different sizes of broken ice and multi-speed.Then safe sailing conditions and dangerous situations are summarized respectively.
