With the implementation of policies such as the national traditional craft revitalization policy,intangible cultural heritage poverty alleviation policy,and cultural creativity strategy in recent years,China’s cultural and creative industries are getting stronger day by day.As the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in China,the development of cultural and creative products around Linxia brick carvings can provide strong vitality to the local cultural and creative industries.Research on its culture and design and the effective use of cultural elements in product design can enhance the added value and competitiveness of products,and promote the coordinated development of culture through industrial development.Based on the theory of Linxia brick carving culture and shape grammar,this study explores the innovative design methods of Linxia brick carving cultural products.By analyzing the literature and materials of Linxia brick carving culture,the author made a field investigation to the local area,extracted and sorted out the representative cultural elements,and obtained the cultural semantics of the patterns according to the cultural analysis.Target products are positioned according to user needs,the cultural elements of brick carving are screened by whether the semantics of the patterns match the semantics of the products,and the organic integration of cultural elements and product forms is completed through the shape grammar.Improve the product culture,enrich the cultural product design ideas.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the research status of Linxia brick carving culture,cultural and creative product design and application,shape grammar,this paper will analyze the brick carving culture in Linxia city,by analyzing and sorting out its subject content,pattern semantics and artistic characteristics,deeply interpreting the artistic characteristics of the brick carving in Linxia city and through comparison,collecting representative cultural elements,and constructing a representative cultural feature map.(2)Questionnaire surveys,user interviews,image boards and other methods will be used to carry out user surveys to obtain and summarize demanding information of users,so as to locate the target products,analyze the extension and connotation of the target products,and finally determine the semantic transmission goal of the products.(3)This part will analyze the design process of shape grammar,establish an innovative design method for tile carving cultural products based on shape grammar,and take Incense pedestals as an example to verify the feasibility of this method.The modelling library of reference products will also be constructed through modelling analysis,and modelling factors of reference products will be extracted.The cultural design factors will be extracted based on the degree of semantic relevance between the pattern and the semantics of the target product,and the shape grammar will be used to carry out morphological innovation deduction.Then,by investigating users’ satisfaction with related solutions,the best solution can be selected to complete innovation design of the products.In this study,the design application of Linxia brick carving culture is studied,and the shape grammar is applied to the design of brick carving cultural products.The practice shows that this method can quickly generate the design scheme,fully display the "shape" and "meaning" of brick carving culture,and enhance the sense of cultural identity.
