Research On The Relationship Between Spatial Attributes And Characteristics Of Human Behavior Distribution In University Campus

Urban regeneration is an important problem in the development of many cities in recent years.With the improvement of humanity consciousness,humanity characteristics become the focus of urban development.How to integrate environment humanity characteristics into urban regeneration has gradually become a research hotspot in urban planning,architecture and other fields.Environment image is the main embodiment of humanity characteristics in the relationship between place and people,place perception is the main cognitive process of forming environment image,and people’s behavior is the external expression of environment image.The study of the relationship between place perception and behavior can reflect people’s environmental preference more clearly.This problem is rarely quantified specifically and is the main question of this research.Through participatory mapping,place perception and behavior data can be effectively collected and visualized,which is rarely used in university campus.Place perception is interpreted as place satisfaction,place attachment,place identity,and 13 specific environment attribute evaluations in this study.Taking the Machang Road campus of Tianjin Foreign Studies University as an example,this study collected the environment attribute evaluation and behavior data through 152 in-depth field interviews and participatory mapping.Based on the overall data analysis,this study classified the survey data according to the identity,age and gender of participants,as well as the length of residence,frequency of activities and length of stay.With the help of Arc GIS Geostatistical Analyst and Spatial Analyst,the environment attribute evaluation and behavior density grid diagram of the whole and different groups were obtained,which directly reflects the environment perception evaluation and the distribution difference of behavior preference.By calculating the correlation coefficient of raster data,the correlations of environment attribute evaluation and behavior of the whole group and different groups were obtained,and the environment attribute preference of people walking and staying on campus was summarized,as well as the difference of environmental attribute preferences between different groups.The research results provide a more accurate humanistic focus for environment planning and design,enabling the integration of urban regeneration and the protection of environment humanity.
