The Inheritance And Reconstruction Of The Spirit Of Place

In decades of high-speed urban construction,the traditional city has been replaced by large-scale modern urban construction,each city has gradually lost its regional nature,and become a thousand cities.Although we begin to pay more attention to the traditional city and its unique environment,in practice,when architects look for the connection between the environment and the place,The thesis mainly takes the actual project which the author participated in the design in the graduate student stage-the typical architectural design of Suzhou Cangjie commercial land as the main research object.Starting with the traditional place memory of the ancient city of Suzhou,this project summarizes and refines the archetypal characteristics of the ancient city.Fully consider the existing relationship between the various elements of the site,through the design of the new building will be the original site elements of the unity,to achieve the spirit of the site reshaping and carry forward.Because of the typical urban environment and the complexity of the site conditions,the thesis takes it as the main practice case of the place spirit inheritance and remolding.This paper discusses how to excavate and emphasize the spirit of the existing site and care about the spiritual experience of the people in the site in the architectural design.The thesis is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the research background,purpose,significance and content of the thesis.It summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and sorts out the framework of the full text.The third and fourth chapters begin with the typical buildings in Cangjie commercial land,and make a detailed analysis of how to continue the spirit of the place in the practice of the specific building.The logic of this part is based on the development of project design in order to show more thinking activities in practice.The fifth chapter is based on the third and fourth chapters,and summarizes the specific methods of this project from the perspective of the spirit of place,which is the development of the method refinement under the special place of the second chapter.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the new understanding of the spirit of place,and the thinking of architectural practice and corresponding design strategy based on the spirit of place.The inheritance and remolding of the spirit of place lies in peoples specific perception of the meaning of place environment,and in the process of this process,It is an important step for people to feel the spirit of place if the phenomenon of external place environment can arouse the resonance of the post-reflection experience world through the pre-reflection of perceptual experience.Through the study of the composition of the world of human experience and the practice of this building,the architectural practice method of the inheritance and remodeling of the spirit of the place is summed up as three aspects: imitation to the prototype translation,perception and architectural entity,regional context and atmosphere,These nine aspects are the detailed research on pre-reflective feelings and post-reflective resonance in the specific practice environment.Through the design of typical commercial plot of Cangjie Street,this paper provides the specific strategies for realizing the spirit of place and establishing the macroscopic method,and provides specific suggestions for future architectural practice.
